Well, when one of the members here, whose opinion I respect greatly, tells me that my last track was a vast improvement over my first effort, and it gets 17 1's and is my worst showing yet, that tells me something about this contest going deeper than just the actual content of the submission.Parduz wrote:Without a smile at the end, seems a bit unfair. To me, a 1 means no effort put in whatsoever, no musical value, absolutely unlistenable.
I rarely, if ever give out 1's. If I do, it's usually to a track that's either mostly noise or drones on with little or no melody.
That I got 17 of these for a track that was clearly better than anything I'd submitted so far has to have me scratching my head wondering WTF?
But whatever. I no longer have the time to do these anyway as I am buried with work.
And maybe that's for the best.
