Using win7 mulab6-32 and lexicon alpha interface.:
I can record with Mulab>Audio Setup>Drver Type = ASIO
And Driver Name = ALPHA ASIO.
But I cant play pack nor monitor. In order to play back I have to change the Audio Driver Type and Name back to Windows drivers. ????????
Is this how it is supposed to work?

Your ASIO driver from the interface manufacturer in all likelihood needs exclusive access to the interface. Are you sure no other process is using it?

You were right. The Alpha didnt have exclusive access. Turns out I was trying to monitor off of the laptop headphone jack. I put the phonez into the iface phone jack ans set the audio drivers for mulab to the interfaces driver.
Works like a charm!
