Its called the Seven Phases Spectrum Analyzer and its GUI can be scaled from tiny to huge, and colors can be customized, so it might fit right alongside a front panel until a MuLab Analyzer makes it to the top of Jo's FR. Unfortunately its only Windows & I am on Mac so I can't try it myself!

No, the two different word endings describe two different plugins:solipsvs wrote:izer yser same ting
Analyser is a Utility plug-in, based on the word Analyse (an-a-lyse) "to examine something in detail"
Analizer is an Effect plug-in, based on the word Analize (anal-ize) "to make something (-ize) more anal"
perhaps not all....solipsvs wrote:oh please please please!
we could all use an analizer!

I have the same wish, runaudio, really! It's what I keep trying to get at when I'm talking about visual feedback, you know. It really helps heaps to have a visual on what's going on in the spectrum.
Ever since I found Voxengo's SPAN, I keep using it on every song. But even just an "ordinary" graphic equalizer with bands, where you could see just a select few of them bouncing around would be brilliant already.
Just today I checked out the reaper freebie vsts, amongst which is a multiband compressor. It's so pleasant just to see what you're doing.
Needless to mention the luxury stuff you've posted up there, pffff, ya... it looks and feels expensive. But I think, if Jo could pull of something of that kind, but stick to MuLab look and feel, it would be beautiful, too.
SOOOO often I wished I could see how far my Q will stretch the influence of the parametric EQs (2band, 4band), for example.
So, yeah, you're totally right and I'm happy you're suggesting it, too!

Ah...thanks, run! Which stuff do you mean again? I've been bouncing around lately so much, it can get confusing.
