Sounds like a limiter with very high setting is engaged in the fl studio version or mixer volume to loud.
The volume is harder there and almost squashed in the top and bottom frequencies making it distort in a nasty way.

Wich is strange, because there is no post process and in both daws they do not reach even 0 db. Its just patch playing same midi with same velocity

What settings do you use in FL Studio (screenshot maybe)?

It could be the very fast vibrato LFO. Modwheel can be on in FL Studio and off on Studio One.

Played a bit with that, and i gives that noisy sound

Did you remove the default limiter that is put on FL's master channel (if you are using the default template)?

How is Bazille set-up?

What do you mean Bazille setup?

No modwheel doesnt change anything.

What kind of settings screen do you need?

Interesting. I wonder what it is, maybe one renders at a higher samplerate or something?

Furthermore, does this only happen with Hive? How about anything else, say, TyrellN6?

Its not after rendering, its real time playback is different :)

Tyrell & Bazille sounds the same in both hosts.

You talk about live playback, so the audio settings in FL are important. Do you use linear playback? Or oversampled? I use the highest setting and i dont hear any difference in my patches on different DAW's. When i play back a track.

Is the result better when you render the file with fl at the highest settings?

Are you sure you are using FL Studio 12? because the only quality settings in FL Studio are interpolation settings which only affects Audio samples, they do not affect synth quality. There is no linear/oversampled playback option.

I did small experiment, i had to change to at least 88200hz sample rate and now it sounds same as in Studio One. Its odd, because in studio one its set to 44.1hz

That is indeed the case. My mistake. Using fl for over 15 years....i should know that by now, don't you think... :o

Still, it is strange. My settings (FL S 12, latest) are set to the highest standard @ 44.1 (for playback), but the patches do sound the same. Weird. I will try another DAW this evening (Sonar). And record multiple test runs.

Did you use the same audio recorder for both daws? For playback, i always use Edison (VSTi) for short files/wavs.

Those are rendered, but they sound the same as during playback.

At the moment the only solution is to put up the HZ.

Hehehe, try recreating that sound in, say, Dune, ACE or Sylenth1 and perform the same test

Let's start a new discussion about sonic differences in DAWs... :help:
