I've made some research and apparently Timeless v2 is quite good too. Gonna try that one ! On the other hand, I can't see any way to make ping pong with it...
Don't have any experience with that one unfortunately :scared:

Check this out

Ok, so where's the "buy" button ? :p The one I tried must have been a reaaaaally old version...

What you particularity like about Logic compressor, I assumed different compression modes, but now, who knows, maybe layout or something else?

I haven't started testing Cubase yet (I'll probably do it this weekend, when I'm at my studio), but I've done some research. Cubase effects seem more basic than logic ones... So I'd like to know if there is a VST replacement for Stereo Delay , Delay Designer, and the new LPX Compressor. Actually I've never seen any fx that could do the same thing as those...
Also I think I'd miss the EXS... Any idea what I could replace it with ?
Thanks in advance.
What are you talking about? All those "replacements" are there. There's a stereo delay plugin and then there's mod machine. Cubase has the Vintage Compressor which is based on the 1176 and then the tube Compressor. Both are actually good. Its not as many options as that LPX Compressor but those 2 are plenty.

I've looked at that stereo delay plugin : not enough for me. You can either have a basic stereo delay (different delay time for L & R) or a ping pong delay with only 1 delay time. I'd like to be able to have ping pong and different delay times, that's the way I do my delay on the most important instruments of my track.

Yep I like having all compression modes in the same plugin. And as I said the distorsion thing.
I think that what I like about it is that it sounds great with anything, a bit like the Rcompressor.

Supercharger GT is really good (although I'm probably saying that a bit too often on these forums ;))
For a replacement of Delay Designer, you should also check out the new delay by UVI, Relayer, it seems extremely powerful, and from the specs/pics, a direct drop-in for Logic's one. Intro price is very tempting as well at $79.

Thanks ! ;)
I've also found Waves Supertap, I'll test both this weekend.

Just noticed that it doesn't have pitchshifting like Delay Designer does, I wouldn't miss it (it's an incredibly cool effect, but one I never found much use for), but you might.
Delay Designer is one of the very few plugins I really miss from Logic, and couldn't find a proper replacement for, and the Ringshifter is also pretty unique. Ah well, Logic has a great set of tools all around actually.

Actually I was just using it to make crazy delays on my breakdown effects & atmospheres, but I'm sure I'll manage to do the same with echoboy and supertap.
Could you tell me what you miss from Logic ? I might have forgotten some useful things that are not in cubase...

That Stereo Spread from Logic is nice too :tu:

Yep ! Didn't think of that ! Thanks :)
But actually I've never used it. I prefer adding delay or phasing the sound than using Stereo Spread.

It's not your usual stereo widener or effect, it's pretty neat for positioning, for fx's or some background stuff, rather overlooked little gem :tu:

Unlike famous Clip Distortion :hihi:
