Hi, just bought a used Receptor 2 Pro Max, and I'm trying to get it working with my live setup. My main board I'm using to send midi data is a Roland FA08, which unfortunately is pretty rudimentary in it's implementation.
The FA08 is set up in a "studio set" type of mode, where you can split/layer up to 16 sounds over 16 midi channels. All of this is saved as a studio set.
There is no capacity to tell the keyboard to transmit a particular MSB/LSB number. It is hard coded to send MSB 85 when you change studio sets.
I'm thinking my option is to try and save all of my Receptor multis that I want to use live to MSB 85. Does anyone know a way to specify that when you save a multi?
I'm running version 1.9. Does the 2.x upgrade add any additional midi functionality?
I realize this is a shortcoming of the Roland. I was able to work around it sending programs to my other keyboards in the setup (Hammond SK1 and Novation Ultranova). I'm trying to find a way to do this with the Receptor as well. Twisting the knob on the Receptor is a last resort, as I need pretty instant program changes to go from song to song.
Thanks for any suggestions.

If I were you I'd try to use a tablet (or smartphone if your vision is good) of some sort. I use Set List Maker on my iPad to send program changes sometimes, I can list the songs alphabetically or in set order and let the iPad change programs on my whole rig.
This raises another question; in 'live' mode, is there some way to assign MSB/LSB to a patch..? They are automatically organized alphabetically and if I add a song to my live set, all songs beginning with a letter later in the alphabet are given new locations...
