Well in fact the practical answer is: Yes!mutools wrote:No, not planned. I'd rather choose for the solution i explained above.sl23 wrote:Sorry, bit confused, does this mean you'll add a knob to the Note Event Pad? Or there's a way to do it?mutools wrote: Yes i see. Thinking MUX i would rather do this using a NKP followed by a Note Modifier but then the NM needs to evolve so that Transpose and Velocity are real parameters where it are static properties now. I remember this has been requested already. It's indeed on the wishlist, i just double-checked.
Because with the solution i propose it's simple to make a little front panel with Note Pad and Transpose knob and that's exactly what you're asking

That's nice!
Noticed a small hickup in the Note Event Pad, that isn't crucial, but:
- if you alter "Other Notes" from Bypass&Show to any other mode while playing a pattern (e.g.), it can get get stuck glowing as if it was hit. Only "Panic" will resolve it.

I'm really hesitant to ask, but I've just done a drumset with the beautiful new Note Event Pads, which are really fantastic! But, I think, what would really make them just perfect would be one more parameter for "output note". Then I don't think there would be anything left to ask for on that one.

Note Event Pad
Channel: Any
Note Key: C4
Other Notes: Mute
Note Out: D#3
It's essentially like a built-in Note Modifier, except with a exact note specification and without the need of adding another module into the chain.

I understand what u want to do. But if i would extend it that way i want to give that some clear thought, also in relation with the DNP. That's not the right time now. That's why i'll keep it as is now. I've added a note on the wishlist. Pls also check the Note Mapper. It may be a handy module in combi with a bunch of drum pads.Taron wrote:Note Event Pad

Yeah, I really like the elegance of the Note Mapper, that's very nice!
Thanks for giving it some thought, I'm sure it would be a consistent and nice completion of the fantastic NEP and an equally brilliant addition to the DNP.
(Why must I think of "Good Morning, Vietnam!" now?)
