I'm using Cubase and sending my dry organ sound to two busses in parallel: 1) with MVintage Rotary, and 2) the dry signal (this is how a lot of jazz organ is recorded). I want them in phase, so can anyone tell me what the MVintage latency is? A wet/dry control in the plugin itself would be cool in the next version.

Also, how do I assign a controller (not sustain or mod wheel) to the slow/fast speeds?

:phones: Thanks.

Hit "MIDI" (bottom right) and select both the target and the controller you'd like to use.

Got the controller assignment, thanks. I'm also using cc 87 (MOFX assignable function 2).

On the latency, I've exported a track with dry and wet signals panned opposite. I count about 40 samples latency on the wet signal. Phase seems to be ok. Mixing the two, panned center, with dry just slightly lower worked for my mix. The all-wet signal seems a bit muddy. Sure, I could EQ it, but I try to avoid that when possible.

A good example of somewhat dry jazz organ: Deep Blue Organ Trio. :x

"Muddy" - that's what the eq is for ;). Think about the original - it's quite a vintage piece of hardware inside a wooden box, so of course it is a bit muddy, that's part of the sound.

Latency - again, that's normal and expected. Just count it - 40 samples in 48kHz is about 1ms, which equals about 0.33 meters for sound to travel, which quite approximates the distance between the microphones used to record the hardware and the hardware itself, so again it's quite normal.

Not sure what style of organ you like but Melds plugs are giving me so many variations of Leslie cabinets I ever heard.
FWIW I use the VB3 for timesheet authenticity.
But it's rotary sucks.
Hence ROtary although I have both rotary plugs.
But they still needed more drive from a pre amp to get that valley 147 sound.
Piece of cake with VB3 into Melds Multibandsaturator then ROtary.

My virtual Hammond Leslie smokes thanks to this guy from Czech RePub.

Those Slavic heathens......
