  • MUX front panels: Preset color palette was not saved. Fixed.
  • MUX front panels: The "Copy Size" and "Paste Size" functions now are also available in the component's context menu, so no need to go via the properties editor anymore.

Those copy/paste and the revised cursor on border help considerably.
Thanks!!

Post

Nice job with that cursor :tu: much clearer now

Away for a month and note this :)
Looks like great stuff!
Not that I have much time to play around with it but any chance for us Mux VST users to try the RC versions? :D

Post

Yes they will be available one of these days.

New MuLab 6.5.25 release candidate version in http://www.mutools.com/forsythia

Latest changes:
  • VST editors now have a focused parameter editor in their top control bar.
This focused parameter editor is a handy bridge between any VST parameter and the MuLab / MUX user interface.
Right-click the parameter for handy functions like Copy As Parameter Event or Copy As Envelope Point.
This parameter editor also replaces the "Drag Last Tweaked Parameter" function which was used to create automation tracks for VST parameters.
Now this can be more easily done by directly drag-dropping this focused parameter editor onto the [+] track button.
It can also be used to monitor the value of VST parameters for VST's that don't show this in their editor.
It can also be used to copy-paste VST parameter values even in VST editors that don't support this.
  • You can now drag-drop a parameter on an envelope editor, this will create a new point with the parameter value.
Also works with the new VST focused parameter editor above.
  • Modular area: when (re)connecting jacks, the tool tip could be in the way which cancelled the drop. Fixed.
  • Browser -> MUX Presets -> Refresh List does not ask "Also refresh MUX preset cache data?" anymore, it will always do so.
  • MUX front panels: Drum Note Processor background colors didn't properly support transparency. Fixed.
  • Event graph editor: When changing multiple selected velocity bars, and they all have the same velocity, no more popup question "Change Absolute/Relative/..." anymore as it doesn't make sense in that case.
  • In some cases, target module edit fields could be a bit too short. Fixed.
  • Parameter controls: When the parameter name is too long to be displayed, then the full name now is shown in the tool tip.
  • Envelope points now also have Copy/Paste Value context functions.
  • VST editors now have a "Edit Last Tweaked Parameter" function.
  • Parameter editors now have a "Copy As Envelope Point" function.
  • Finetuned the automatic MIDI input focus behavior when activating module editors. (more relaxed behavior = less changes)
  • Finetuned parameter context menu layout.
  • Fixed a possible mem leak bug.
  • Copy-pasting parameter and envelope point values are more compatible and support both normalized float values and percent values.
  • Some other little improvements.

Another great update. This new parameter editor in the control bar is, for me, incredibly useful. Jo, I don't know how you find the time, but your efforts are much appreciated. Merci beaucoup.

Thx Guy!

About this new parameter editor in the control bar: I got some feedback that it may be too big/prominent. And that it may be disturbing that when u tweak a knob in the real VST editor that there also turns a knob at the top = double view. What do u guys think of that?

Would it be better to use a more subtle parameter editor like in this mockup:
p2.png
This way we still keep all advantages but it's taking less attention. Upon hovering/sliding the top parameter knob a tool tip will tell the percentage value. What do u think?

Yeah, I like the smaller design better. But either way it goes, I'm floored by the functionality. Thanks
