I just got v7 reinstalled yesterday (32bit version; 64 would always crash on vst scan on Nectar elements)
Quickly got something going, and remembered just why I enjoyed using it.
Would like to upgrade to v8, but $99 for something that isn't supported anymore is a bit much.
Why have you Not Purchased Orion over the Years?

Never purchased Orion because first I'm happy with the daws I have ( Mainly Cubase )
Then, just because what I fear could happen actually happened : Not supported anymore.
When I switched from Logic PC to Cubase years ago, I had hard times to translate old Logic projects to Cubase. I dont want to go thru this kind of things again. Never. When you work with a particular Daw, it's really important imo to be sure that it will be supported in the future, that it is stable, etc etc.

there are absolutely no guarantees, any company could stop support anytime...Camel Audio anyone?
Luckily for you, you could see into the future and you knew this would happen, so you had a lucky escape. The rest of us, including the beta team, were still led to believe by the developer, that Orion would continue, until one day he just changed his mind. Funny that....
