I got Tracktion 5 for free when I bought UM2 Behringer interface for my guitar. (I
For whole week I've tried to make my guitar sound with distortion.
And I cannot figure out how.
I've googled, watched youtube, searched forums - nothing...
I probably am missing something basic.
Please help

As far as I know, Tracktion won't do this on it's own. You will need an amp plugin that does it for you. Insert the plugin on the correct track, then you will need to click the live input monitor button (may not be exact term) on the input properties (click the input by the track to show input properties) if you want to hear it in real time. Set your latency as low as you can get away with.
I highly recommend the kuassa stuff, but there's lots of options.

There are many free amps / effects available if you search for plugins on this site. Ignite have a large range in all formats.
Just make sure you install the right 32/64 bit version, and windows / mac format.
NI Guitar Rig and Amplitude both do comprehensive free guitar stuff, but nag to buy add-ons.
