Hi TSC team !

When I want to "open" Marketplace > Marketplace Tab, OR Marketplace > Marketplace Settings, either in the Edit Tab or in the Project Tab, T6.1.10. crashes systematiquely.

A known issue ?
How I can correct the issue ?

It would be best if the Marketplace was optional, I don't want a shop in my DAW or plugins.

Really? I don't get why you can't just ignore it. Seems kinda like asking for a version without midi because I don't use it.

You can't ignore it because it's fully integrated ...

A DAW is NOT a browser! Browsers are updated frequently to fix security issues.

When a DAW has internet functionality one cannot be sure if proper https, TLS layer, certificate checks (all things I check before doing financial transactions) are properly implemented or are in place!
 
btw. midi is essential in a DAW, internet is not ... :shrug:

Well for me it's just unnecessary clutter and I don't want a shop tab or button or anything visible, just things I need to use.

I too have wondered about having a browser built into the DAW. The MarketPlace seems like a good idea, but accessing via the web outside Tracktion, makes more sense. The MarketPlace tab crashes here, as well -- on OS X 10.9.5.

I don't like it either, it goes against the feel of the software, It's already clear enough at the bottom LH corner, and It looks cynical putting it above a new project.

I get your point, but any software you own that implements a "check for updates" functionality has the same security issue. Do you check all of them implement certificate checking, and TLS properly? Because they're all doing it by making an HTTPs connection to a webserver

I get your point, but any software you own that implements a "check for updates" functionality has the same security issue. Do you check all of them implement certificate checking, and TLS properly? Because they're all doing it by making an HTTPs connection to a webserver
 
As I said it is for financial transactions that I check if those are in place ... ( good reading is a skill ...:P ;) )

Furthermore, I do not allow automatic update checking, when I don't run my browser I have internet disabled (thanks to the handy InternetOff app).

Er, it crashes the program every time you click on the button... Wether I use it or not it should be fixed. I think. I was going to load my free plugins with it...
