hello, Jo, MuTools Users,

have searched the forum, the documentation, with all key words that came to mind, but all to no avail, could not find information about the pivot key of the filter keyboard tracking (or center key of the keyfollow), where the value is neutral (zero, crosses the center line).

later might set up some kind of experiment to find it out, but if someone can supply the answer, the time can be used for other things.

all the best, thousands of thanks for these great tools again...

Sorry i missed answering your good question in the other topic. Answer = key number 60 = middle C. I've updated the docs.

key number 60 = middle c
updated the docs
that question was improperly placed there, near-hijack case, so no wonder.

thanks for your prompt response, will download the new documentation zip, too.

Could be a cool feature to be able to change the pivot point of keytrack? Or make it non-linear, with a piecewise linear curve (example: Korg workstations use 4 segment linear curve).

Post

Indeed. Taken note on the wishlist.

You should be able to adjust the pivot point by using the Note to Modulation Converter's key output, add a mod mapper and adjust the offset (the green cable can do similar).
In the mod mapper you have the curves and you can square, step, ramp, ..., or try reverse :)

Ok, that's not using the keyboard tracking in the filter.

If you NEED the keyboard tracking in the filter, add a Note Modifier module before the filter (blue cable) and transpose e.g. -10 to get the pivot point to note number 50.

Edit:
@Jo: The wishlist item would be rather to enable modulation of the Note Modifier.
Than we can start to make sequencer and arps.

thanks for your words, these things are already figured out here, too.

the original question was already answered, your input added valuable solutions for other regions of key tracking usage.

this has not been tried yet here, so thanks for this, once again, your clearsighted ideas, note taken.

support points from here, as starting point, would be enough, might be not very complicated to implement (not that the required knowledge would be here with me, but surely simpler than the whole sequencer, arpeggiator), there were also votes, requests, on the wish list thread in such direction.

thanks for everything, all the best...
