One of the things I like doing when working with multiband processes is to move the band crossovers so that they have an even amplitude split between the bands. For instance, I was just working on a sound effect and a MMultiBandDynamics, set to four band. Most of the sound was in the lower mids, but i wanted the compressor to do an equal amount of compression across the four bands. So I have to spend some time moving the bands until i get the same amount of compression across the frequency spectrum. It's actually a pretty nice way to get even, balanced and tailored compression, without the potential problems of using a single-band compressor.
So, my question is, is there a way to automate this process, as it takes quite a while and would be easier for the system to figure out. Ideally, the workflow would be, select the number of bands, loop playback of an average section of sound (in the case of sound effects that easy as you work on one sound at time) and hit the shiny new 'calibrate band crossovers' button. This would then adjust the crossovers so that each band has an even max level. It's basically stealing the 'set' button from the AGC and using it to set crossovers.
Thoughts?

There's no such thing really. I can see the point. But the problem is, each plugin that has some kind of level follower has a different method, hence different level, so it is pretty much impossible to do this in general. But probably some estimate should be possible, using some kind of iterational algorithm probably, not sure... I'll check.
