Hi,

Recently I bought the FabFilter Pro Q 2 (Equalizer), and I've tried to use the new feature "EQ match", but it won't work. The help file says I need to connect both input and side-chain. I'm not into these terms, and I'm not sure how to do this in Tracktion, so I hope anyone can tell me how to do this!

Thanks! :)

This shows how to connect the native side-chain compressor using a rack.

I hope this gets you started

Like the video above shows, you put it in a rack. Then you can assign the sidechain inputs in the rack.

Right-click on the ProQ plugin on your rack and select "wrap this plugin in a new rack plugin". Then click on the rack and you'll see the inputs on the left side. I'm guessing you'll see 4, the bottom 2 are likely the sidechains. Right click on the 3rd input dot that is closest to the plugin and it will let you select which track to sidechain from. Set 3 to the left channel, repeat with the 4th dot for the right channel. This will also put a copy of the rack on that track you're sidechaining from.

If you're on a mac, one thing I've found is only the AU versions of plug-ins will show the sidechain inputs in the rack. VST and VST3 don't seem to.
