i'm not really "putting out" any music in a sense that you can't find it anywhere. i'm just a hobbyist, doing it for my own (and possibly my family) enjoyment. but yes, it was a conscious choice i made.
Alright, thanks for your reply.

And thanks from me for the clarification. I did try to put a little disclaimer expecting that might be the case.

while i mentioned that i use Kazrog KClip (which is a clipper, not a limiter), i use it simply to prevent anything from going above -0.3dB. i don't actually drive the gain and squash things to death, i'm only using those to catch an occasional peak - RMS on my master bus rarely goes above -15dB, so it doesn't really make a lot of difference as to which limiter i use. i used both clipper (yellow) and limiter (white) from T-Racks before, and the only reason i switched to KClip was the ceiling control. and i got KClip for free, so that was a bonus too.

if Stealth Limiter came out earlier, i'd probably use it now, as it seems to have a bunch of useful controls (ceiling, infrasonic filter, unity gain comparison), but as it stands, i simply have no need.

FYI commercial broadcast playback levels on iTunes, Spotify, Media are -16 LFKS, YouTube -14 LFKS.

If you squashing your mix up to -9 or so it gets played back at those levels so guess what? they'll probably sound worse

-15 LFKS still recommended for cd..

An RMS of -15dB by itself has little relationship with 'commercial levels'. It depends completely on the program material. An RMS of -15dB can sound just as loud as a -9 dB RMS track. It all depends on the nature of the track.

"...so it doesn't really make a lot of difference as to which limiter i use..." (Burillo's words). This will certainly be the case when loudness calms down to a good level. I rarely push any limiter to -3dB - usually more like -1.5 to -2 dB maximum. At these levels there's really not much in it from limiter to limiter.

Before/after pictures of some waveforms, perhaps some of your earlier
downloadable demo files would be handy. The new acoustic guitar demos are
pretty impressive. Was this used in producing them?

Also, is there a color control for the purple, As found in Sampletank 2.5?
Cheers

I will have to check but I'm pretty sure this was not used on those as the final version was not available at that time. Plus, they would typically only use the effects in SampleTank. The demos we post on SoundCloud are downloadable, though, if you'd like to run your own tests on the unprocessed using Stealth Limiter, etc.

There is no color control in Stealth Limiter.

I have tried this one only for a short time and it does sound nice. I'm a hobbyist though and still have to learn how to mix before I run anything through a limiter.

BTW, something went wrong when I installed it. I had to update the Custom Shop and got a whole lot of plugins installed on my HD - plugins I haven't paid for. I had to manually delete them as it cluttered my IKM folder. Maybe you should check the installer or I did something wrong.

I'm glad you like it. The installer installs the suite of plugins for easier demoing as well to facilitate he offline authorization process more smoothly.

Thanks, glad you like it! Feel free to share examples of what you've used it on if you are so inclined. Would love to hear some real-world examples of Stealth Limiter in action.

LOL, I love both TF&TF and xXx, despite how incredibly stupid both are.
