Hi there,

first off, i just browsed through a few pages here to see if there was a similar topic lately. So if there´s already an answer i was too blind to find, please bare with me :)

I just got T4 together with tons of Plugins and stuff from Beat magazine and thought i´d give it a try, since Samplitude is really b****y about its track/plugin restrictions...so far i am pretty happy with T4,but there are also a few issues i tripped over...

1st: There is a 32 and a 64 bit version... first i tried the 64 bit, since i´m on Win7 pro 64..problem: the vst scanner couldnt open ANY vst in my folder, exept one (Drum pro)... then i tried the 32 bit version, which seems to find and open MOST of them, but (naturely) not the 64 bit plugins...

so, any way to be able to use both? other DAWs i used before at least could open them all, with a little risk to crash now and then...

2nd: In most VST instruments, Tracktion doesn´t show the usual switch/ dropdown/ what ever menue to browse through the presets/ patches/ banks, if you get what i want to say...so most plugins open, but the sounds cant be browsed through ... is that normal? is it a bug? can i get rid of that? would be sad if the otherwise pretty nice DAW would have to go the /uninstall road because i cant use my instruments properly...

thanks in advance :help:

Edit: (didnt find an edit button :D)

strike number 2, just found out that there is an aditional window in Tracktion that has the bank switch in it ... sorry,so blind lol... point 1 still stands though ...

Use 32 bit Tracktion to be able to use 32-bit plugins. I believe it's possible to use the 64-bit ones with external software, but internal to Tracktion it isn't possible (at this time, anyway ?).

Yup, plugins are either 32bit (aka 'x86') or 64-bit (aka 'x64'), to match the host.

The solution is jbridge

Slight faff to set up, but makes a 32-bit plugin appear like a 64-bit plugin, or a 64-bit plugin appear like a 32-bit plugin.

Most modern plugins have their own patch browser, but yeah, some dont and rely on the functionality of the host. Im not running Tracktion4, Im on T6, but if you click on the plugin is there not a 'Program' button (with load/save/del buttons underneath it) shown on the buttons directly below the tracks? That should show a menu of presets. This is a screengrab of it from T6

If neither of those work, what plugins are you talking about?
