would you pass a little feature request on to the developers, please? :)...
I really wish that (on >Mac), there ware an AU MFX version, so that the rotor speed of the FX version could still be controlled via MIDI in Logic Pro X. I did try using the Instrument version, with an incoming audio track as sidechain, but I couldn't get that to work at all (the knob for "External" was even greyed out. Could be user error on my part, of course, although I have done it before in similar situation).
Howdy as part of the install we include a VST and AU FX version of the plugin that is fully midi controllable.
You need to run this separately to the VI version.

OK I was able to A/B it against the Logic organ - I still much prefer the Logic one, which is a pity as ideally I would like something I can play in other hosts. The Air one sounds harsher and noisier to me.

Having made a quick comparison between DB-33 and my trusty VB3 (using it in Logic and Live 64 bit, courtesy of 32 Lives), I'm quite impressed by the DB-33 basic sound and Leslie sim. A given for those who don't use VB3, I'd say.

However, the tweaking options of VB3 are of a different order altogether, as is the two manual + bass pedals structure. As an added bonus in VB3, you get two transistor organs as well.

However, VB3 AU doesn't play nice with Digital Performer, at least not up to and including DP 7.2.4. I haven't tested VB3+32 Lives with DP 9, though.

Finally, I much prefer the sound of the VB3 overdrive. The DB-33 OD is, in comparison and to my ears, downright obnoxious unless you just use a teaspoonful. YMMV.

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

No, Simon ;)
I am well aware of the AU FX version, but Logic Pro X has no way of sending MIDI into "regular" AU FX. Logic requires a special extra version, which they call "AU MIDI-controlled Effects", and which loads the same way as you'd load an Instrument, and as regards the audio on which it is to act, this is placed as a sidechain input, via a bus (I know, it's horribly convoluted, but that's Apple for ya! :P )
I did get a life,once...but it was faulty, so I sent it back.

Gotcha sorry I think I must have misunderstood the question. I will let the lads know.

Is DB-33 sampled or modelled? If it's sampled, then I'm out.

Still waiting for that GUI bug fixed for VPro and others, along with higher polyphony update and more flexible modulation in Loom, Simon...

Thanks Simon :) (Just out of interest.. Logic's own Vintage B3 doesn't have a MIDI-controlled effect version either! ;) )

I am trying out the Mini Grand, sounds great for such a relatively "small" download. Even though the file wasn't super huge (just over one gigabyte), it has a good amount of dynamics to it, and there's enough settings to quickly get going in a project. Not a rocket science plugin, but I like it that way sometimes. :)

I just tested the DB-33 and found it very "alive". The Leslie sim is indeed one of the best I've heard so far.
Conversely I'm not a big fan of the VB3, it sounds toy-ish and fake to me.

However the main weakness of DB-33 IMO is the overdrive section. There's no way you can get "that" creamy sound. It sounds like amp sims from 10 years ago, sporting no dynamics. That's a huge pity!
Even the B4 had a much better overdrive sound!

I noticed in oficial page that also in AIR creative bundle include huge collection of various FX, it would be interesting to see this in native also.
