I'm not convinced is there anything this thing can do that MmultibandSaturator can't do ?

Hmm, just checked out their page and video as I'd not heard of it until you mentioned it, I presume it's a new release. You can do most of that in MMultiBandSaturator, and what you cant do is totally possible using MXXX. As usual, Waves are great at marketing and they make some nice UI's but their products are very much 'easy mode' with the power taken away from the user and deep editing is restricted. Melda stuff can be a little clunky but the power is totally unlocked for the user.

That said, when it comes to saturation, I'm of the opinion that they all sound different and therefore you can never have enough I was trying to get a certain sound out of melda's saturator yesterday and was struggling. I tried out Softube's saturation knob and preferred it on this particular sound.

I usally get instant gratification with melda saturator more than others I tried. But yes I agree sometimes something else is better.

Hehe yeah I got the newsletter too... That's just waves forever in stoneage, but they can sell it and that's admirable .
