I'm really loving Omnisphere 2. It is by far my most used soft synth.
One thing I wish for is the ability to re-order effects in the racks.

Biggest request from me is to me have a waveform view of audio that is playing in granular mode rather than thy graphic thingy. I realize that it would hard with multiple audio files for different keys but with user audio only one file is allowed at a time so I think you really need a waveform display with a playhead marker. There is a reason all the granular samplers show the waveform. It helps a lot moving the position around.
Secondly I'd love to know why it is that after I paid $250 dollars to upgrade to V2, my license still says that my license type is transfer V2. You can't seriously still consider my V2 license as a transfer license after I paid the full 250 to upgrade can you? Hopefully that's a mistake in my account.

Yay for the D50jamesbernard wrote:Since the D50 was a Roland product.. there could never be a "Spectrasonics D-50".electro wrote:Why isn't there a Spectrasonics D50 VSTI by now? There is obviously enough demand and ever since Roland introduced the plugouts with Aria there has been D50 speculation.

A VSTI should be based on the original Roland D50 ROM. The Korg Legacy M1 is a good example. The old Korg K-Series MIDI controllers even had a joystick.
That would be interesting though..

That's a good one. Instead of having to go into the menu>copy preset>paste it into another slot>delete existing one.SayersWeb wrote:One thing I wish for is the ability to re-order effects in the racks.

Right! It is really cumbersome in Omnisphere when you just want to just swap the order of two effects. Cubase is my DAW and it allows dragging to re-order effects. The order of the effects can make a significant difference in the sound and it is so easy to do in Cubase. It allows you to try things quickly and then revert back if it wasn't better.LFO8 wrote:That's a good one. YES! I tried to do this yesterday because it just seems like you should be able to. Probably used to doing it in Amplitube. I remember when they added that, it was a great feature.LFO8 wrote:That's a good one. Hi, any chance to get "All Omnisphere" patches to show up by default instead of just "All Spectrasonics" patches? Thanks.

Sure!
In the System page, select "Omnisphere Library" in the Startup Directory.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

This is cool. I might invest in Omni 2 just because Mr. Bernard is on board now.

Hi James,
What are the plans to improve the arpeggiator in to a full blown step sequencer? Adding things like pitchbend and other midi cc# to each step would be really cool, plus control over adsr.
In face, making it a full wavetable sequencer would be great to create new sounds like was done in the day of the C64 computer. Chipsounds has this functionality and to see that used with the new waveform sets in Omnisphere would be awesome!

Thanks for your suggestion on the waveform view in Granular mode, I'll pass it along.Echoes in the Attic wrote:In case it got missed:Echoes in the Attic wrote:Welcome!

On your second question, it is my understanding that you upgraded from a v1 license which you had purchased from a previous owner. If that is not the case, then please get in touch with our support team.
Assuming I am correct, our policy on upgrading from a transferred license is this:
You can upgrade any of our products that you legally purchased from a previous owner and have had the license transferred to your account. The upgrade will be at the same price as if you had purchased the product as new.
Since the license was transferred from a previous owner, we need to keep track of that in our system.
This is no way will ever prevent you from upgrading in the future, nor will it change the price of the upgrade.
I hope this clears things up for you.

I'm in the same boat as Echoes in the Attic and I think that IF "the upgrade will be at the same price as if you had purchased the product as new." then the V2 license should have a different status than the old transferred V1 license. I'm not sure what this status should be but in my book UPGRADE V2 NEW does not logically equal TRANSFER V2.jamesbernard wrote:Thanks for your suggestion on the waveform view in Granular mode, I'll pass it along.Echoes in the Attic wrote:In case it got missed:Echoes in the Attic wrote:Welcome!

I can understand why you would think this, but buying a product second hand/used is not the same as buying it when it was brand new at full price.cocoazenith wrote:

There are companies who will not even offer an upgrade at the same price for a license transferred product, we are not one of those.
If you are using a license transferred upgrade, you are not getting a featured limited product and you are not being prevented from upgrading in the future. The only thing is that you user account shows that the produced is a transferred V2 license, which it is.. since the license used to get the upgrade price was not one that you originally purchased.
Simply categorizing your license as a transfer in your user account will not affect your user experience or functionality of the software in any way.
