Are you some kind of price police?

Get the product or don't. Looking at all the fuss you make about this price, you really want it.
I'm just stating my opinion. Have you become some kind of thread moderator - If not just mind your own business. This thread is a discussion about bargains and things alike and I think a discussion about a posted bargain being worth to purchase or not is very relevant.

You may think my statement is personal because YOU posted the bargain. But I don't care who posted it even if it was queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain. Stop acting like a 7 year old child.

You call this discussing something, condemning it more like it:
Hans25 wrote:Is this a joke? Are there anyone in their right mind that would pay $479 for some old rompler samples/waveforms from the late 90s?

That's because you take it personal but did I write "Numanoid has posted a stupid bargain"? Im simply referring to the bargain itself and my "condemning" if you want to call it that is due to the fact - that I think the "sale" price is an insult to buyers.

I don't intend to present my opinion sweetly and kind every time just to please you so you don't get offended. And the strange thing is that I don't recall you being polite or moderate ever in your comments.

What do you mean, insult, the sale price was $149 yesterday, that's not bad when you get 9 libs for Kontakt or Dimension, which that bundle is made up.

That's like $16,5 per lib.

I don't intend to continue this argument beyond this point, as it is just going to bore the other users. Unfortunately you must always do that.

Following yesterday’s discussion, I re-posted my bargain message, with several amendments including direct link to the specials products, as I think Gamma-UT did have a point about the focusing issue.

Thanks,
Koby

Hi Koby!

I registered on your site. I want to say that the site is well made and a joy to browse through the products. Keep up the good work! Good luck with your relaunch!
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

+1 nice clear site, and you got some very friendly member prices on the Waves synths for sure :o :tu:

Thank you guys, I do spend a lot of time on it, actually most of my days. (nights- to be more specific) :)
Love it, anyways.

Thanks,
Koby.

So I shouldn't have posted info about it you mean?

I think hardly this is the only product that is overpriced out there.
No, it's fine that you post it of course. Thank you for that! :tu:

Everybody have to decide if it's worth the price. In my eyes or Hans obviously not but that's only the own opinion.
I think post is fine and actually I find the product itself interesting. I would be happy to purchase it but not for that price. And the fact that it's the original samples/waveforms doesn't justify the price in my opinion. From what I have seen other places for old samples like this, a price of $20-$50 would be more realistic.

Those sound modules were top of the pop at that time - but things have just changed and the market has become huge and the possibilities almost endless. It would be nice to have those sound modules for a nostalgic 90s retro sound but the price has to be adjusted then.
I agree with all your comments on this topic. The price of $479 is totally insane .. .. I mean seriously insane. Perhaps just exists to make the sale price seem like a 'bargain' ... which it isn't, imo. I would value it the same as you. just.

for me, this is a huge fail "This sound set is not recordings of the hardware, but the actual samples used to create each sound module."

so, the samples without the mojo of the hardware ... not sure who thought that was a good idea, but I applaud them for taking a glaring negative and having the audacity to try and spin it into a positive (i.e the idea that the raw samples are somehow worth more than recordings of the hardware)

So you use the samples and put them through the mojo of Kontakt and Dimension instead.

When users bought expansion cards for E-mu modules in the 90's, did those card ship with anything else than samples and patches?

Post

They should make a TAL sampler version. That might help.
