I found this issue which results in unintended undo steps, which interferes with using undo normally. The details are at the link below with accompanying video demonstrations.

Ok, I'll check it out. I think it indeed is possible. Though I must say, we publicly recommend people to disable the undo in Reaper, it causes way too much processing for the repeatitive saving of the state, and the plugins have their own undo engine, which is better anyway.
Nevertheless I'll add it to to-do list, we'll see.
For the record, could you send me a reaper project that exhibits the problem to info@meldaproduction.com?
EDIT: One more thing, check the newest version about it. The plugins now send automation only if the parameter value has actually been changed, so maybe it it is already solved.
