What DIVA filters are most close to Arp and Yamaha? i know both have different models but i talk all but mainly maybe ARP 2600,ARP 2500,Odysseys,Yamaha CS01,Yamaha CS01 mk II,Yamaha CS80.

Don't think you can get near those with Diva unfortunately.

I want both in Diva someday.

If not what whare are best then these uses? sorry offtopic.

You can't really compare those that are currently in Diva with those that you want. Each has its own sound, so just try them all out and see what fits you for a particular patch.

I have a vague memory reading that Hive has something kind of like the ARP2600. I could be wrong. Anyone else remember?

If anything, to me ACE seems the most ARP2600-like. But I don't use ACE and don't know if there is any similarity in the circuit design/sound.

I will add my +1 to CS-80 oscillators/filters in Diva. The odd programming of the Yamaha itself makes it a different animal and might make it an interesting one to add to Diva's module set.
More esoteric modules/devices I've seen mentioned elsewhere would be great, but, so far, Diva seems well aimed at filling a popular and mainstream need, and big well known names/modules could make it even more widely/generally useful.

Other possibilities... Prophet 5 Revs, Oberheim (OB's), etc.

(still hoping for a polivoks filter here)

I'd love to see a Roland JD-800 osc. Wonderful 90's sounds :3.

The Yamaha CS (including CS80) actually used a variant of a Diode Ring Sallen-Key filter. Korg also used a variant of a Diode Ring Sallen-Key filter. They used transistors wired as diodes, afaict.

One big difference between these two implementations was that Yamaha implemented a limiter on the lower cutoff frequencies as well as a limiter on the resonance (Q) that prevented the filter from self oscillating. The Q was also further reduced on the very high frequencies.

This suggests that you could perhaps achieve some CS like timbres with the MS-20 filter (rev.1) if you are moderate with your levels and Q/Res amount).

Fwiw, I'd like to see a pure CS80 emulation by u-he based on DIVA tech. I'm sure it would be very good. If kept within DIVA, we could probably only see something close to a CS50/60, thanks to the dual synth lines in the CS80.

My favourite soft synth is the current 64bit version of Memorymoon ME80 (I made a lot of factory and extra bank patches for it, as an enthusiast of CS80) now closely followed by Ace and then Diva, but they aren't even in the ballpark for CS80 style sounds. Fabulous synths in of themselves though, and both arguably more versatile in terms of range of sounds.
ME80 will get you much closer to a real CS80 than anything else, and the competition isn't even close.

ARP Odyssey has 3 types of filters.

4023 - is 2 pole SEM opamp/rc-loop - Uhbie filter in LP only mode
4035 - is Moog-like transister ladder - Ladder filter in 24 db mode
4075 - is EMS like diode ladder with low cutoff - no emulation

Urs said previously there is possibility of additional types of ladder filters.

I think they are very squelchy.

ARP 2600 has two filters:
4012 - similar to 4035
4072 - similar to 4075

None of them are squelchy.
Murderous duck!
