Configure PayPal to make your payment in the original currency and don't do any exchanges. This way PP adds no extra fees.

Yeah, the worst fees stem from currency exchanges.

We still accept credit card payments, it's only physical products and certain brands where I have the site set to only take PayPal. What were you trying to order where you didn't see credit card available?

But that IS the way paypal charge the 5 percent fee :?: They give you horrible exchange rates. I thought they were more reasonable with Mastercard but is that the case then?

Well, when I pay with my MasterCard through PayPal, no fees are added apart from the MasterCard fees :)

You can select one of these when you are buying something with PayPal:
paypal wrote: PayPal offers two ways to convert currency when you purchase from a seller who uses a different currency than yours.

- The PayPal currency conversion process
- The MasterCard and Visa currency conversion process

Please select your option below:

Use PayPal's conversion process to complete my transaction using my card's currency.
Both the original transaction currency and the converted amount that I will be charged are disclosed for my convenience. I understand that MasterCard and Visa have a currency conversion process. I have chosen not to use the MasterCard and Visa currency conversion process, and I will have no recourse against MasterCard and Visa with respect to any matter related to this conversion.

Bill me in the currency listed on the seller's invoice.
I will not know which foreign exchange rate has been applied to this transaction until I receive my card statement from my card issuer. I acknowledge that by choosing this option, my card issuer will determine the foreign exchange rate to apply to this transaction, and that I will not be informed of the foreign exchange rate or any additional foreign exchange fees applied until I am billed by my card issuer.
You have to click on the "Other Conversion options" link right after logging in with your PayPal credential.
The second option is much cheaper, at least in USD -> EUR.

Be sure to click on the "Other Conversion Options" link right after logging in with your PayPal credentials, before anything else.

Wow, I am an idiot. I never noticed this about PayPal.

I prefer to use it over a credit card directly because my particular credit card tends to be over-zealous with the security features when it comes to online purchase OUS (for me since I live in the U.S.).

Ok thanks a lot for the tip. So does this mean that I can use Visa also. It seems like it from that message.

Post

Sure. I've got it linked to Amex and MasterCard. VISA works the same way.

Ok I thought it was linked to Mastercard only for some reason.

Not a good deal considering you can get the whole Kramer TTT bundle, which includes this and two additional plug-ins, for less.

Either eP.com is not very smart or thinks we aren't... or both?

Yeah, saw this too. Maybe everyPlugin isn't aware of "normal" Waves pricing during sales.
