What is great:
Now you can sample with Mainstage Hardware Synthesizer or Software Synthesizer and save this as EXS24 File.
Import the EXS24 File directly to Alchemy and transform it. Workflow very nice ;)

you'd support camel again as an indi developer and buy their stuff.. for real? wow you're game.
Yeah... If the product was right. That is to say, it's a tool and I want it for 'x'.

To me, the dev (Ben), made a business decision. It happens with everything (at some point or another).

A certain company got taken over where I sell sound fx. I loose a lot of money now as a result.... Nothing I can do about it. I just deal with another agency.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'd drop anything like a stone if needed, and then just move on (plenty of choices).

But I can see why a PC users might be pissed off. I personally wouldn't waste my time. I've no animosity towards Camel. Even tho'. I'll miss the hell out of Camel Phat (and any potential updates). :(

There are tons of additional contents to download... I mean: I'm interested in trying out some of the additional contents (just for the sake of listening in MainStage) and it is more than 25 GB to download just for Alchemy (that was by checking some of the Alchemy libraries, not even all of them).

I'm pretty shocked and I'm seriously thinking about the usage my hard disk space (fortunately I have a 500GB hard disk on both my Macs... I don't know what I would do with one of those small 128 GB ssd).

I went through some of the standard presets and I can say it is just great.
Unfortunately, I use Cubase and I don't plan to get back to Logic, so I would have to use Alchemy as if it was an hardware synth... :(

:clown: I think this will definitely make the PC/Mac topics more pleasant that what they used to be

Mmhhhh..... but where are the great tuning scales from Alchemy 1.55. No tuning in Logic's Alchemy.
However, great update. For sure one of the most interesting sound design tools.

Maybe try Apple Phat? :hihi:

So Alchemy is part of Mainstage 3 and that costs about $29.
Split that $29 between the products included in Mainstage, and you get
Alchemy valued at...what? $10? That's hillarious but disturbing at the same time.

I would be curious if any of the early Anomaly sounds were included in this version. Camel licensed them from me for Alchemy V2 but have not been forthcoming with info about if Apple now have the rights to use some of my sounds.

As far as people feeling pissed off about all of this (Apple, etc....) - look at it this way. Camel Audio went out of their way to build up a lot of good will from instrument and FX users and devs alike. In the end, they trashed that good will by cutting off a lot of people from something they had been promising for a long time. Without a word.

All of that good will has now evaporated.

I am just glad I was able to sell all of my Camel things before the site went dark...

Act like camel audio cheated on them?

You bought a product, got
To use it for what was offered and they decided to sell out to apple. It was'nt a marriage between you and camel
Audio and they never owed you alchemy 2.0.

Ok so quit complaining like you just got screwed over and just accept the changes like an adult. By becoming an apple only product does not mean it is the end of the world, it just means apple paid them more money than you ever did and will for camel audio.

So you have can act like a apoiled entitled brat and complain whih will do nothing or just find a solution to obtain logic which means purhasing an apple or creating a hackintosh etc.

Good grief.

Do not know if that was directed at me or not. But do not care.... There are plenty of other sound design tools out there....

But, if I were someone who bought Alchemy and all of its expansion soundsets with the promise of V2? I would be pissed.

Was there a promise of V2?

How exactly do you import the legacy libraries from my original CA purchases? I can't see it.
