Help with Old Receptor (2008)

Hi, I have this old receptor and I haven't used it much unfortunately. But I am determined this time around to start using soft synths...
Could somebody let me know if I could use the old receptor to run the current Massive and Reaktor for example? I've purchased Komplete 10 and I would be happy if that setup would work for a live situation. I don't really need to run anything else for now.

I guess another way of asking would be if the Old Receptor could handle ONLY these 2 softwares. Of course my following question would be how to go about getting that done, but that's for another day :)

Thank you so much for reading and replying if you know the answer.

Thanks in advance, Ed

Hey Ed,
if you look through this forum you'll find a thread about Komplete 10 not being able to be installed yet.
Although there are plans of that some day. So at this point the newest Komplete that will install is Komplete 9.

I don't know for sure but from what I've read here is if you've got an original rev1 Receptor I think you might be out of luck installing the more modern Kompletes.

The other thing you don't mention is what rev of the software you are running, that may make a difference once Muse has a fix for Komplete 10.

Just to clarify:

Receptor 1s, including Rev Cs, were built in 2007 and earlier. They will not run OS 2.0.1, therefore they cannot be upgraded to the point where they can install the newer Native Instruments software. They simply don't meet the minimum system requirements for the newer versions of Komplete.

However, Receptor 2s and newer running 2.0.1 CAN install Komplete 9, which is a lot more than what you can do with any computer from that era. As you probably know, Native Instruments discontinued ALL support for anything prior to Windows 7 and Mac OSX 10.7. So if you have a three or four year old computer, forget about running the newer Komplete software unless it can be upgraded to Win7 or a newer OSX.

We believe that once the incompatible libraries in Komplete 10 are dealt with by NI, then the Receptor 2s running OS2.0.1 will be able to run Komplete 10, which is a lot more than what can happen with a 7 year old computer!

Just want to thank everybody for their reply. Truly appreciated. At this point I'm running Komplete on my MacBook Pro , but I'm really hesitant to take it to a club/bar because it's my only computer and "my life" is in it...
I will figure it out soon enough i hope :)
Now Im off to reading and learning on this forum. Tks again
