True. Steve Jobs is yet again, from his grave, wrestling with Bill Gates. From a timing perspective, works well for me as I'm listening to Jobs' biograpy narrated by the fella from 60 minutes.

I think having Kontakt as an OSX only app would tie in nicely with the App Store and downloadable content. Heck it would work with Traktor as well. Then folk would have something to cry about.

You know, the funny thing is is that I use both systems here and that I hope Apple does start to get active in terms of music production again. For that was the original platform for artists to begin with.

Funny thing is-- despite what the cooks chiming in on this thread are *attempting* to express-- many extremely well known producers / DJs, including Martin Van Buuren of course, use Logic & DJ with Serato, Traktor, or traditional mixing equipment. Ableton's Live gets many points here too, and perhaps Bitwig will too enable such live performances.

MAC is, perhaps, an industry standard. Time will tell Logic's place at the table.

Heck, I bet Ableton & Bitwig have a siginificant, if not majority share, MAC intstall base.

Who cares about ProTools, and Cubase pumpers have good reason to reconsider their platform. Is ProTools even still a viable business entity?

Sorry 'bout that. I looked at your other posts. I read it in between auditioning new Alechemy ARPs. And I'm serious. Man, there are more ARPs than you can shake a stick at. Some are outstanding, and many are piss-poor. I'm glad they have included the rating system.

I have a PC laptop. It's a secondary device, though I have installed Bitwig on both platforms. I love Bitwig! Marry Bitwig's sessions with Logic's arrangement, performance, and drum machines, and that would be insane. My main machine is an iMac Retina.
