I wonder if TDR's expertise could result in a release of a SRC filter to use in plugin format, to convert signals to and from the most used sample-frequencies in real-time, in our Digital Audio Workstations.

Is it possible, is it already in your plans? I know I would love it ;->

Most plugin formats only declare a single I/O sample-rate, the plugin host use one single buffer size for input and output. The idea of using plugins for SRC smell like trouble. :)

An offline SRC would be an interesting challene. We have no plan about it yet, but who knows...

I see, that was just because Wavelab has a SRC plugin (Crystal Resampler) and I thought (even with my lack of knowledge in this field) that you gentlemen, would be able to do an even better one.

Anyhow I hope you take the challenge building an offline SRC - that would be wonderful too :) :!:

About src Fabien what do you think about a vst to host other vst for oversampling purpose ? it could be really usefull .

could even be with some features like a mastering console , modular path ,dry/wet , mid/side on each points of the chain things like that.

A standalone mastering software/plugin host/routing thing is an excellent idea indeed. We also have a really interesting concept for a related "expert system", but this would be 2 year full time project, if not more. We've been working on several products over the last months, so we'll focus on releasing them first.

The main problem is time, we need more Vlads and Fabiens ;)

Next release will be a NOVA remake (with improved DSP and streamlined interface). A set of little helpers will follow, maybe also an optional download/install/update application. We stopped an almost finished project a few months ago, this cost us some time. But you can expect several product releases before end of 2015.

On the long run, we're also still working on a tracking/mixing specific dynamics processor, A huge SlickEQ update, a stereo processor and we're thinking about a successor for Proximity. Oh, and we've made notable progress towards interesting nonlinearities, but this tech will slip into all our current plugins sooner or later and certainly inspire us to develop new concepts.

I'm really looking forward to the Nova67P remake. Found the original idea a great concept.

One curious question: are you considering the option of adding full M/S functionality in, for instance, the SlickEQ update (as in: being able to tackle both M and S in one single plugin instance)?

Maybe yes, maybe not, it's still unclear. Keep in mind that the core selling point of SlickEQ is simplicity, so we'll try to preserve this quality throughout product lifetime. IMHO, a doubled amount of controls and UI space just for a niche scenario is the opposite of simple.

On the other hand, Nova will be the "right tool" for detailed EQing and sculpting.

And as mentioned above, we're planning a dedicated stereo image processor meant to cover every remaining stereo specific "dead angles" we left open with SlickEQ and NOVA.

Although "dead angle" is certainly an extreme point of view. You can always fall back to say, two SlickEQ's in series, one in SUM, the other in DIFF mode. It gives you everything you would ever want: Fully independent control, almost no CPU increase. With the advantage that you don't have to mess with redundant controls in standard stereo operations.
