I had ten extra skins - the Redux skins and the Pokemod Plugmon ones. So that's 12 counting the factory skins. I'll just leave the third party skins in a separate folder for now. They have to be updated for the new prefs panel anyways.Urs wrote:That's entirely possible - I'll run some tests and see what's happening. I usually have no more than two skins installed.~Pd~ wrote:I'm seeing very slow load times for this new Zebra 2 when I insert it into a channel in Reaper 5 and Live 9, on OSX 10.10.5 - I suspected it was because I had too many skins so I moved them, then it loaded quickly as usual, with only the default skin and unempty dark horse in the themes folder.
It never did this before - is it pre-parsing the skins in the themes folder now?
Hehehe, there needs to be some things left to improve

Well, some have got larger graphics to look nice at higher resolutions...EvilDragon wrote:Yes I also noticed these latest revs load slower than usual...
I guess some of our future research will go into more specialised graphics compression, or maybe 8-bit PNG support for non-alpha images. Or progressive loading.

I can now confirm this.... on Nuendo 7 on PC.. will try on mac.........
take a cable, any cable and pass it over a knob. knob gets distorted.

Ace at 150%, a screen refresh or simply moving to a different app and coming back to Ace/Nuendo fixes it.

We'll squash it in time for the official update. Give us a week or twozvenx wrote:I can now confirm this.... on Nuendo 7 on PC.. will try on mac.........

No, because we've optimized a lot of the drawing code on windows. We might one day bite the bullet and render on the GPU instead.zvenx wrote:it doesn't happen on my mac for the record.

Sounds all good... I love the little Uhbiks (for all the praise they've got I still think they are underrated) and any update would be more than welcome if/whenever it happens. Don't even want to think about the old uhbik rack concept, if that ends up ever happening I'll just explodeUrs wrote:That isn't entirely clear yet. I implemented a new phaser mode (small-stonish) for Uhbik-P some time ago and I'm seeking for an Arp Quadra. We've also upgraded our arsenal of reference reverbs (M7... and we might acquire a Yardstick on top). We've got new EQ algorithms, filters as well. We have even roughly outlined some effect we don't speak of. However, non of these developments have been followed up lately, we've been too busy with our workflow, our office move, our new project management software and this maintenance update. As always, it'll happen when it happens. I'm just really looking forward to get my fingers dirty in some deep R&D shit after this update. We might be able to leverage some of the Zebra3 development into the other plug-ins as well.Juanjo wrote:Urs wrote:... Also a gorgeous redesign for Uhbik and a revamp of Filterscape...if I may ask... with new functionality/dsp or just gui?
The mind boggles.

We'd love to but we need to improve our Modmatrix (as seen in Hive, Zebra, MFM2) to do so. It won't happen this year.jcliffe wrote:Urs: Thanks for the updates. Will you be updating Bazille to allow for modulation of effects?
Thanks.

This update adds multi channel MIDI support. That means, this version of Diva can be used with Seaboards, Kontinuums, Linnstruments, Eigenharps, QuNexuses and similar controllers.jcliffe wrote:Thanks. One more question: What about MPE for Diva? Thanks.
We will add MPE in its full glory once the guys finalise the draft, establish the standard and we have access to a fully compliant controller. We don't really have the resources to work this right now and it might still be a moving target. As it stands now, we're mostly there. We just need to add the on/off switch and the special role of either channel 1 or 16. However, the deadline they set themselves is slowly approaching (end of summer 2015, I presume northern hemisphere).
From here on it won't be a big effort

Great news. My Linnstrument arrives tomorrow. I guess I don't yet understand the difference between MPE and multi chnnel Midi support. Whatever the case, thanks for the great synths and updates. They're very much appreciated.Urs wrote:This update adds multi channel MIDI support. MPE is a bit more elaborate in that it requires a +/- 48 semitones pitchbend range, it can define a number of active MIDI channels and it has a "master channel" whose pitchbend and control changes propagate to all other channels. It's not a big difference, but some of those things are very particular and wouldn't work with our stuff right now.jcliffe wrote:the difference between MPE and multi chnnel Midi support.
