Ok $100...I can't relax, I'm a dumb American--you made this script just for me, right?
Hahahaha just kidding thanks so much for everything the script and videos are fantastic.

I mentioned this to moss, I had the same issue. As far as LED damage, I highly doubt it IMHO. LEDs aren't actually lights.nortle wrote:Is there a way to deactivate the LED (or maybe the whole button) of "Device on/off". It is flickering in parameter mode and I'm in fear that it may cause damage to the LEDs.
I know this has to do with a call refreshing something over and over again, but it's Moss's code these days so I can only hope he gets the same issue.

The clue is in the name, they are diodes that emit lightTeotiGraphix wrote: As far as LED damage, I highly doubt it IMHO. LEDs aren't actually lights.
We used to pulse LEDs at quite high frequencies to make them last longer. Not sure if it worked or not, but it never seamed to damage them.

Yes, 'seamed damage' is the worst.goatgirl wrote:The clue is in the name, they are diodes that emit lightTeotiGraphix wrote: As far as LED damage, I highly doubt it IMHO. LEDs aren't actually lights.

I probably could fix this but moss is in the middle of the 1.2.x migration so I don't dare touch anything, I would be better off just doing a pull request or something so he could see if my commit could be merged into his working code.

Well, I never saw one fail when pulsed. There again, I've rarely seen an LED fail unless it was connected the wrong way around.TeotiGraphix wrote:

If memory serves me right, I'm sure many LED controller IC's employ PWM in standard operation, which is used to set their brightness.

cheers
here is the Kirnu post - http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 0#p6220740

no word from the dev on his forum, doesn't seem too active there.
Cheers!
