I know that a great deal of people got FK1 for free when Wusik.com launched, so this is a good chance to let anyone else catch up.

And maybe sell 'em on the other volumes of FK while you are at it!

Too late for me. I'm already sold.

Any comments on the DW8000 aspect of Vol3 and the pianos on Vol4? Any comments at all really would be good to hear although I'll probably go for them anyway.

Very cool move, WK. Personally I like vol 1 the most of all of em, so you guys are getting a real treat. 2 + 3 are also really nice...

Hmm, this reminds me I have a bank of presets for the FK stuff I should release soon.

How big are the downloads for vol.2,3,4.

Is each dl broken into rar files. If so how large. I only ask because of my dialup connection which spits me offline after 4 hours. Which sort of limits what I can download.

The files are splitted into RAR indeed, so don't worry. Each split was done with a 4 Meg size.

Compressed file sizes.

FK1 = 52 Meg
FK2 = 67 Meg
FK3 = 47 Meg
FK4 = 73 Meg

Almost 50% compression, so expect uncompressing to double the size above.

i downloaded the bank and sound files. i unloaded the files from their rar folders and got a file that is called 'bank' with no extension and 14 files called 'famous' with no extensions. i have renamed the
bank file 'Famous Keys 1.bnk' and the others
i have renamed 'Famous Keys 1 part 1.DASHsnd'
1 thru 14. when i open eve in orion plat, and select bank, it sees 'famous Keys 1', but when i select it i get error loading plus giberish. i put all of the famous keys 1 DASHsnd files in a folder labeled 'Famous Keys 1' which is in the 'eve data' folder along with organs and electric pianos folders etc. i'm figuring my data file renaming is incorrect.

Sorry for the problems, but you really messed-up the files.

Delete everything and start again. On the LOGIN page, from the URL you got, check each file-name, so you are sure that once you download you save with the correct one. IE does that on the fly, some odd browsers don't. You should have several rar files and two exe file that extracts the bank and SoundSets. Like this:

hey thanks....yup, using mozzilla firefox, and when downloading, the in the save to dialogue, all the files are labelled "famous"....tat's all...so i should have an exe and a bunch of rars...thanks
