I'm starting to experiment with the Zebrify more and I just realized something that was affecting how I was mixing...I didn't remember I had turned the lane 2 input up as well as the lane input.....I have a couple modfx modules on lane one and i am putting that zer=brify module on a group of 5 tracks that are a big bulk of my song...lead pad rhythm etc....because i want to do a big flange wash effect
but anyway.....I didn't realize that when you turn up lane two input that essentially means it's doubling the output gain of the signal.......at least that's what it seems like to me...so I was mixing the song with like an extra copy of all those grouped tracks and i wasn't aware of it.......because lane 2 input was turned up....they were both set to stereo....so is that right....? am i understanding it right? that when you turn up the input levels its not passive any more its aactually adding voltage or adding dBs onto the signal.....I thought that it was passive like if you have input 1 turned up to 100....then that is just like passive...or neutral..or at Zero dB...unity....like it's not adding anything to the signal.......
errrr..how do i set it so that it's passive....like at 1:1 but so that i can have the FX or whatever affecting the signal.....and not have the signal being boosted...........because when i have input 1 level at 0, theres no signal passing through
zebrify lane input levels

well atm it works just like it does in a daw, when you send audio to more than one channel. dont see why you think its strange.
what i normally do, is set a crossfade with the xy

zebra is the first 3rd party plugin ive ever been using ......ive used on le Lives native stuff before i bought it
what i mean is...like in Live if i want to add a flanger effect to my chain...then I insert it and it has a dry/wet knob where i can bypass it if i want, so i guess the input level on the zebrify is like the dry wet knob then........and theres 4 of them...and then the mix knob on ythe modfx in zebra is like an additiona l dry wet knob
im just trying to understand where it's at unity...like on Live if i insert a audi rack somewhere, it is default at Zero dB.......so its passive or neutrral...it is nt adding anything to the signal or subtracting..but if i add two audio racks then that doubles the signal....do you understand now what i mean?

ok i just sent a kick through fl studio at -10 db. i sent through 2 tracks and it went up to -4.3
just did the same with zeb and it was -10 -4.3
so forget about live, and think of it like you would a send channel on any other daw. meaning if you bypass the fx on the send, you will obviously duplicate the dry signal and amplify it. so instead, you would just mute the send, instead of bypassing fx
