Hi Bulent,

some days ago I have sent a bug report using the contact form on your website. I haven't gotten a confirmation mail or an answer and that's why I decided to also post the bug report here because I know you are quite active on the forums.

Bug description
I have installed Synthmaster 2.7.4 and some presets now sound very different (in the sense of saw oscillators that have been swapped with sine oscillators). This also affects songs because some instruments/tracks do not sound as originally intended anymore.

One preset that exhibits this problems is "PLK Pulse like II". I have used it in my song for the KVR OSC 73 where I participated with Synthmaster 2.6.21. In the original render you can hear that it uses a saw oscillator. However when I open the project now it uses a sine oscillator and therefore sounds much more dull and boring.

To demonstrate the problem I have uploaded a snippet of the song so you can compare it with the original rendered version. This is the original entry for the OSC73 (starts at 2:38 for the demonstration):
https://soundcloud.com/blitbit/sleepwal ... rty#t=2:38

Here you can find the version which shows how it is rendered with 2.7.4 (corresponding part starts around 0:11):
https://soundcloud.com/blitbit/osc-73-s ... 63y#t=0:11

So it might be worth checking "PLK Pulse like II" in Synthmaster 2.6.21 and to compare it to the version in Synthmaster 2.7.4.

I have already deleted the folder "SynthMasterTemp27" as was advised here on the boards but it did not solve the problem.

P.S.: Thanks for all your effort and the otherwise powerful and flexible synth! :)

And if I can add to this...fresh install of 2.7.4 on Windows 10...nothing. Complete freeze in Cubase, and hoses up to the degree I have to reboot.

Reverting to 2.7.3 solves the issue and runs smoothly.

try to delete:

c:\users\public\public documents\synthmastertemp27
my documents\synthmaster\config\synthmasterconfig.txt

That will rebuild the waveform cache.

Unfortunately that did not help in my case. The problem is still reproducible in Reaper, SaviHost and VSTHost.

As a sidenote: after deleting the aforementioned folder and file the default preset for me is "Medieval Hammer1". Is this intended? Only asking because it would seem like a strange choice to me.

Yes that is the default presets. You can always change it to something else :)

It's as if it can not find the waveform. Did you try reinstalling full setup again ?

I have now uninstalled and reinstalled Synthmaster using the current synthmaster27windows64setup.zip (2.7.4) but unfortunately the problem still persists. :(

Operating system is Windows 8.1 and host is Reaper 5.01 if that helps. I assume that you cannot reproduce the problem on your side?

I also think/hear (some) presets sound different :

OS : Windows 7
Synthmaster 32Bit

Mp3 : https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/862 ... 21test.mp3
Preset : https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/862 ... 1test.smpr

The mp3 is rendered with version 2.6.21 when you play this (C4) on 2.7.5 the resonance is very different.

Is it possible to install both 2.6.21 and a higher version of synthmaster ? so my old projects will sound like they used to ?

Because I really love all the extras the update brings. :hyper:

Yes I think I'll have to figure out how to do that.

The thing is both plugins share the same VST plugin ID. I can not change it otherwise that'd break backwards compatibility.

Os Mac OS, it's safe to delete /Users/Shared/SynthMaster and /Users/Shared/SynthMasterTemp? They seem to be of previous Synthmaster versions.

It's safe to delete

/users/shared/synthmastertemp
/users/shared/synthmastertemp27

I don't know a folder called /users/shared/synthmaster
we don't create that one, but we create /documents/synthmaster folder.

Pulse waveform is mute to me.

Please play with the Phase (pulse width) parameter, by default it's zero :)

Which waveform is loaded with "PLK Pulse like II"? And from which location would it be loaded from? I'd like to check if I find it at that location or whether there might be some other problems with that path.

Or is it rather a problem with an internal mapping (stored state number to wave form or something similar) that broke and is now causing these problems?
