I have a little Akai LPK25 that I use on the sofa, but it lacks a mod wheel. I also have an LPD8 which I some times use to provide a mod wheel from one of its rotaries on CC1.
This morning I was trying to do this with Bazille, and it is changing the volume (CC7?) instead. I then found that it is doing the same in Diva.
However, it is behaving as expected in Hive and Zebra, and in all my other synths, except Omnisphere, where it is again changing the volume.
In Logic, all synths work as would be expected, and all synths work as expected with my keyboard that does have a dedicated mod wheel.
Live 9.2.2 / 0S X 10.5
I should probably by pestering Akai or Ableton, but I wondered if anybody here had any ideas?

Our synth don't react on CC7 - because usually the hosts do.
Did you maybe accidentally MIDI learn the volume knobs with ModWheel? Do they move? - then right-click and MIDI Unlearn, or - if you use latest betas - check out the MIDI configuration panel.

It is funny how one can get trapped into a false sense of thinking.
When you fire up a synth to test it and move a controller mapped to CC1 and the mod wheel moves then all seems well in the world.
However, it is not. Further testing has established that the controller is sending out CC1 messages and the last touched control is responding to them. When Bazille/Diva fires up it seems to think that it is the volume control even though that has yet to be touched.
However, all synths are in fact behaving this way in Live (not in Logic) so something has gone wrong with my Live setup since the last update, and it is not in any way specific to your wares!
