Hello!
I really like MUX VSTi but i have a problem, its constantly crashing on my win7 x64 machine, in ableton live 9.0.5 as in reaper 4.76...
it allways happen when i do something in MUX (move knobs, poke menus,... no systematics recognized)
at a moment the gui stops responding (sound is still working), ableton gets unresponsive and crashes, reaper still works but crashes when i remove the MUX VSTi. To test i used simple patches from the default lib, maybe put some modules in (no other plugins in the patch). when i dont change something on the gui MUX works (but is no fun :-)). MUX 5 worked well and i have no problems with other VSTi-Plugins like Synthmaster, Sytrus or Zebra (and some freeware) on my setup

many thanks for any help!

I double-checked MUX Modular 6.2.7 VST in Reaper 4.76/x64 on a Windows 7 64 bit system and cannot repeat the problem you described. Anyone else encountering such issue?

Post

I upgraded to Mux 6 yesterday and tested it out in ableton live (9.1.7).
While checking out Some presets and twiddling Some knobs I had exactly the same thing happening as styro describes in his post above.

machine - win7 x64
DAW - ableton live x32
MUX x32 version

Running Win8.1x64, Reaper x64-v4.76, MuX 6.2.7.

I created a patch using MuX with an Event In, five Note Filters (breaking out five octaves) each feeding a Note Splitter, the notes then route into eight different MuX patches (Decimated Talker, Stabs 2, Space Clav, Thin Glass, Analog Timpani, Harp-Bell Keys, BA Plucky, Stairway) and then into an Audio Out.

I've had no problem with this, even running along side my usual load of 24Gb of drum samples in Kontakt.

Maybe it's a bit bridge issue?

I still had the old MUX version in my VST folder. Deleted it. Problem seems to be solved.

Emil

That's interesting feedback, thanks. Which was the old version? MUX 5 ? Were they in two separate folders?

I still was on MUX version 1 (never upgraded to 5, recently started making music again)
They were in 2 separate folders though.

This is exactly the problem I am having using Ableton 9.2.2, MUX Modular 6.5.33 on Windows 10. Do you still have this issue or have you managed to find out the cause of it? Thanks.

Please check out the MUX Modular 6.5.34 test version in http://www.mutools.com/forsythia/

Is this version stable in your Live/Reaper setup?

Just tested on Ableton and that now seems to be working fine :) . I don't have Reaper, so cannot speak for that.

Thanks for the speedy resolution!
