How to get this lead sound?

I'm trying to get the sound from Henry Cory solo on Lingus (starts cca at 5:40, one of the best solos I've ever heard btw.).
I tried to do that kind of sound with Diva, but failed completely. Is Diva a good tool for this? Anyone experienced can give me some basic instructions how to get close to that sound?
Thanks!

Try using TUC Simple Fusion Lead as the starting point (from the Leads folder of factory patches). I got in the ballpark by setting osc 1 range to 8', increasing env 2 sustain to 80.00, env 2 decay to 40.00, lowering the cutoff to 65.00 and going to 24dB mode, filter env amount to 60, slightly raising emphasis to 30.00, then adding a second oscillator (triangle) slightly detuned, and bumping Feedback to max. Oh and reducing Glide to something low like 5.00.
Not a spitting image but very similar in character.

I love Snarky Puppy! That is a great sound and a great solo!

EDragon,
I started with your recommendations, then I made my own tweaks, for my own preferences; not that it sounded closer to Snarky. Thank you.

I did say I "got in the ballpark". It IS close to that sound. Keep tweaking!vasik wrote:Thanks, I tried that, but somehow didn't come aywhere close the sound...EvilDragon wrote:Try using TUC Simple Fusion Lead as the starting point (from the Leads folder of factory patches). Had a go - a bit closer than "ballpark", I hope. Used 2 oscillators in sync.

Howard, thanks for the patch! It's pretty close for the beginning of the solo, but later Henry twists some knobs and gets different sound - I'm trying to modulate your patch in a similar way, but so far I'm not succesfull - any idea?

I think he just switched presets i.e. you should start from scratch making that second sound.

If you watch the video carefully, you'll see that he's building the next patch from the first one by turning knobs - opening filters or something...Howard wrote:I think he just switched presets i.e. you should start from scratch making that second sound.

I think he just adjusted LFO amount to filter cutoff or something similar.
