Why does everyone like to use the word 'Relax'...that's strange to me. Maybe I didn't use enough Emoji's to give everyone reassurance that my attitude is really the equivalent ofmutantdog wrote:
Relax dude, its all just a bit of fun really. Apple likely welcome the anger, for one thing it keeps people talking about them, secondly it helps to foster the defensive attitude that Apple want its users to have.
I've said before my stance about Camel, I can't be that pissed at them, they no doubt got offered a shitload of money. I admire those that refuse to sell-out but i can totally understand those that choose to.
Anyway, you say its only Windows users that get angry at the competition. Likewise I'd say it's only Apple users that feel a need to defend the honour of the overlord they have sworn loyal service to.![]()

So you seem like you'd be a great potential Apple minion. Ever thought of converting over to the dark side?

This is actually the first time I've ever spoke about these kinds of debate issues. I normally like to stay away from these things and not comment because I feel like it might keep me from meeting new musicians that are probably pretty cool people. I preferred talk about music stuff...gear, genre likes and stuff like that

There's no Logic in soggy chips and Microsoft prefers Intel.mutantdog wrote:You should get a certified engineer to sort that out for you!werp wrote:I have Mac and Microsoft. Doesn't stop the chips getting soggy though

The Mac vs PC thing isn't really a big deal. Some people make it more of a thing, likely because of the whole perceived notion of Macs being an industry standard for music production. The reality is people use what they prefer or what they can afford. My "hatred" of Apple is pretty much equal to my hatred of Microsoft or McDonalds or Coca-Cola. All these companies I spend money consuming their products though.Anthony Newcomb wrote:This is actually the first time I've ever spoke about these kinds of debate issues. Not really, set the Browser to Legacy mode and all the old patches and libraries are there. The only thing they ditches was sfz-support, but as we now have a fully fledged sample map editor inside Alchemy including round robin and key switch assignments, that doesn't really hurt a lot.Anthony Newcomb wrote:Lol, yes I suppose your right. I just put in my 2 cents. I do like alchemy, but if it makes anyone feel better, Apple did remove a lot of import options for 3rd party patches and things like that.Sampleconstruct wrote:But it's all been discussed to death, you're a bit late to the party.

The Five Stages of Loss and Grief
1. Denial: "Maybe Apple will release a Windows version of Alchemy2"
2. Anger: "I hate Apple, fanbois, and all of their spawn that 'just work'"
3. Bargaining: "What Windows-only synths can I combine to clone Alchemy2"
4. Depression: "No Windows synths will ever, ever, ever replace Alchemy2"
5. Acceptance: "Now I finally have time to use every Omnisphere2 patch in a track"
