I cannot get synth master to install on my Macbook Pro. It's a 2015 Macbook Pro running Yosemite. I'm somewhat new to Mac so I don't know If I'm just an idiot or what the problem is.

So when I download synth master I'm able to bring up the installer and successfully install the program (supposedly) After it's successfully installed I'm unable to find the installed files anywhere. They aren't in my Application support folder, they aren't in my VST folder, they aren't anywhere.

I've tried scanning for the plugin with Ableton and Fl Studios. Now I'm not really surprised that I can't find it in FL studios because FL is running beta on Mac but Ableton is unable to find it.

I've tried everything I can think of. changing permissions, changing the security preferences to allow any developer to install on my computer, I've tried everything. Someone help!

@travy Did you ever solve this either? I am having the same issue and when I check /library/application support, I am unable to find a folder called "kv331 audio".
I am super let down by the company not being more on top of this. @kv331 do you have an answer?

Like jackbriody I'm having huge problems installing Synthmaster on my Mac Pro (el capitan/logic pro).
I had a trial copy of SM One installed for a while but only really recently started getting into the sequencer function and thouht I'd take advantage of the SM 1 & 2 Black Friday bundle.

Launching Logic Pro after 'successful installation' I stated getting a string of error messages about missing elements. Reinstalling both, I then found that they had failed validation by Logic's plug-in manager.
Multiple and repeated intallation attempts fail - sometimes folders are installed, other times not; sometimes folders are empty. The only constant successful action is installation of instrument and effects components.
I've received no responses from KV331 Support appealing for assistance.

I've never experienced these kind of problems with any other AU or Kontakt instrument and like Jack I'm now feeling very disappointed by KV331 and their lack of aftercare.

Now think my only option is to apply for a refund - and given their non-responsiveness, suspecting I might have a bit of a fight on my hands.

If they are listening, I'd appreciate a response and some help. This kind of thing can only affect a company's reputation negatively - and as they have industry accolades platered all over the installer, I imagine they are sensitive to this.

Hej Euansb, can please check if there is *.exe files in your /library/application support/kv331 audio/XXX folders.
I having the some problems like you. There shouldn't be any kind of .exe files in a Mac installation package.
I suspect they delivered a corrupt/damaged installer. Both SM & SM-One have exe files installed for me, but not SM-player. If this is intentional, well thats kind of unprofessional.

I have guieditor.exe/guieditorvshost.exe in my mac install.
I assume it needs it for some reason.

Hello Zvenx, what kind of Daw do you use? If you'r installation works fine whith those .exe files, than that shouldn't be the cause of the problems I have. I use Logic x

Post

Hi, torpada

Yes - a whole bunch of .exe files - a range of GUIeditor.exe / config files in the library/app support/KV331/SM One and SM Two folders.

Wouldn't have thought that would cause the problems I'm experiencing... More crucial, I think, is the failure during install to create the required /documents/synthmaster folders & content in 1 & 2!

Always seems to be a problem of one sort or another - very common is the 'no waveforms found in preset folder' error message...

Oh I don't have a problem. I use Cubase on Mac and Maschine/Komplete Kontrol and Studio One Pro.
I was just commenting that it may be 'normal' for synthmaster to install .exe files.
Indeed was saying I don't think that is the issue for you.
