Don't roll your eyes. With AU you can't delete those 3 plugins. They are embedded in the AU recourses.2ZrgE wrote:Maybe just delete those files (if it isn't too much work), and U-he can concentrate on the real important bugs and feature requests?

Yes, like AAX and VST3.LFO8 wrote:Don't roll your eyes. With AU you can't delete those 3 plugins. They are embedded in the AU recourses.2ZrgE wrote:Maybe just delete those files (if it isn't too much work), and U-he can concentrate on the real important bugs and feature requests?
We do this for various reasons, one of which is performance and resource sharing. People who for instance use Zebra and Zebrify in any of AU, AAX or VST3 flavours save quite a bit of memory over the separated VST2 versions. That's because they share the same code and resource memory whereas separate plug-ins need to load all the code and all the resources for each plug-in.
VST2 is a bit of a mess for us actually, especially on Mac. The 4 Zebra plug-ins are all identical. On Windows they can use their dll filename to identify which plug-in to run as. On Mac they can't access the filename. We have to make copies for each after compile and patch them accordingly, so they require an extended workflow and bloat our installers.
For that reason unfortunately I would rather not separate the AUs, AAXes and VST3s. However:
There might be another way to "hide" AUs from a package. Maybe if one uses a hex editor for the Zebar2.rsrc in the component file, one could change the "aumu" and "aumf" identifiers from the three one doesn't want, but leave Zebra's "aumu" untouched of course. Not erase them, just change the a to an X whatsoever. This might be possible and I'm happy to look into this once we're done with the update.

A couple of Diva issues:
- For the Triple and Dual VCO's, moving the Tune knob causes the Detune knob to shift.
- The arp gets stuck in a state in which it waits a beat before triggering, one consequence of which is to make it out of phase with the LFOs. This happens with older builds, not just this beta.
Live8, Win XP, Q6600

Hi Chapelle, Viktor here, from u-he support. Could you maybe send your message again? It might not have gotten through, don't know why. I've replied to all translation related emails last week, and if you didn't get a reply, that means I didn't get your email. Write to me again through the support system and maybe add the info that you're Chapelle on KVR.Chapelle wrote:I'd be interested in this. I've sent a message regarding this via the support form on your website on Monday but haven't received a reply. As it's unusual not to hear back from you within a few days I'm not sure if my message got through.
Thanks!
Viktor

@ thrashjazzassassin
That's perfectly normal behaviour. The LFO Sync mode is set to "free". For consistent phase, set it to "gate" instead. To quote the manual:
"Retrigger options (to the right of the label):
free: the LFO starts at a random position within its wave every time a note is played
gate: the LFO always starts at the same position in its wave"

Any word on the Linux versions? I'd love to throw the new stuff at the wall with Bitwig and see what comes out!
...If you have to fix it with a computer: quantized, pitch corrected, and overly inspected, then you can't do it, and I can't get behind that!

I'm so focussed on other stuff, I haven't followed the latest on Linux. I still think though that we need to fix the remaining issues first before we can update Linux. It won't be too long thoughtomsa wrote:Any word on the Linux versions? I'd love to throw the new stuff at the wall with Bitwig and see what comes out!

We're working on it.themachinelt wrote:Can we still expect updated Beta versions today ?
We've fixed the UI open, the problem with the wrongly set latency and a few of the drawing bugs, but we haven't been able to fix all of it. I'll do some extra shifts over the weekend.
Nevertheless, a public beta is on its way... in a few hours, I hope.
