Hey just had a neat idea
So lets say we divide up our songs by markers and marker names, and have a button we can click "marker lock edit mode" or something which would move/duplicate/copy/delete/paste the entire area of clips under the markers... does this make sense? This would make it ultra easy to switch around song structure etc...

This is a really neat idea. I wonder if Presonus know?

sounds like Reasons Blocks , which I only think works for midi and not audio . That is a cool idea .

*Bump* hope the devs see this suggestion... It'd up Tracktion's songwriting organization to a new level... imho

I do like the idea of being able to shuffle the sections around.

The very first sequencer I ever had was for an Amstrad 464/664 and it produced an astonishing three MIDI notes at a time (along with several 8-bit sampled drum noises). The MIDI notes I generally sent to my Yamaha keyboard where a sitar noise provided a nice twangy bass. The songs sections could be moved easily. It was all aimed towards my portastudio, where guitar and alleged vocals were added.

But let us not forget the splendid T6 Edit Clips. There is a ton of scope for having your song sections as edit clips.

Of course, when it comes to adding vocals, lead guitar (etc), and various other odds and ends, these may not stop at the boundaries of your song sections, so probably should be in your main edit with relevant edit clips pasted underneath.

Or perhaps this is too obvious to mention.

[W10-64, T5/6/7/W8/9/10/11/12/13, 32(to W8)&64 all, Spike],[W7-32, T5/6/7/W8, Gina16] everything underused.

You can also put all tracks into a folder track and edit the folder clips to get some aspect of this type thing. Edit clips are even more powerful.

I suppose ill have to explore these options. Thanks
