Plugin fails to validate

While trying to install Waldorf Edition or KVR SynthMaster, the installation completes fine. Only when I set to update the plugin list, by Find new Plugins, in Rack Mode, the process fails to Validate. I don't know what this means, since it renders the plugin unusable. Any ideas ? I understand these are "unsupported" plugins, but if the installation completes, why does it not validate ? I'm using Receptor Trio. Thx.

I gave the demo of synthmaster a shot on my receptor2 and it's not just you. I am guessing it is the KV331 authorization process that doesn't play nice with Receptor rather than a problem with the actual vst plug-in, but perhaps someone from Muse would care to shed some light? I guess it never hurts to inquire at KV331 as well, and let them know you are trying to run it on a receptor.

I did contact KVM and they were very adiment about the whole situation, they did say it was never tested on a Receptor and that they didn't even know what a Receptor was. I left it at that. perhaps you'll have better luck, I heard from Bulent Biyikoglu.

We need your help. We think we know why the Synthmaster stuff does not run… there is a dependency in their plugin on a Microsoft library that is not supported in Linux. The library is the WLDAP32.dll, and this was the reason why the new version of EZ Drummer wasn't working. Toontrack removed the dependency, and it worked fine…
I've written them that if they remove the dependency their plugin will probably work, but they have not responded despite numerous attempts.
The more customers they hear from, the more likely they are to send us a build with that dependency removed to try out…
