Really bad Thesys iPad bug - Quantize input broken

Thesys seems pretty unusable for me. I'm running it on an iPad 3rd Generation with iOS 8.4.1. The most common problem is that the quantize feature will stop working. I can reproduce this simply by loading an example sequence and choose a quantize option such as to only change the base note every whole beat. Then either by using the keyboard controller strip within the app or an external MIDI device I expect that my input is quantized. More often than not what happens is that the base note of the sequence changes as soon as I press a note, and strangely, it also actually sounds the pressed note on top of the sequence (so you can actually hear what you play rather than just the sequenced notes).
Sometimes I am able to get it back working again by resetting the iPad or launching/relinking Cubasis but it will happen again soon enough. It's currently stuck in the faulty state and the only reliable way to get it working is to uninstall and re-install the app.
It's bad enough that I am going to have to give up using the app completely. I have had this problem when running Thesys on its own, when receiving virtual MIDI from Cubasis and when running Thesys as a Cubasis IAA.
I'm not doing anything strange to cause this to happen, I've reproduced it using the internal synth straight after restarting the iPad and with no other apps running, and with all MIDI inputs and outputs disabled.
Is there any hope that the devs will put some effort into making this app rock solid?

Hi Daithi,
we've tested the quantize feature of Thesys here again and it works as it should.
To get a better understanding what's going wrong could you please let me know what you exactly mean with "the base note of the sequence changes" and give us a detailed description of your setup? Also do you mean the internal synth of Thesys or does this issue happen with a synth triggered by Thesys?
Best,
Nadine

Hi Nadine.
Thanks for the reply.
So to clarify, if I set the quantize to whole note, and start with a blank sequence of 16 16th notes, all playing C. My output is the internal Thesys synth. Thesys is the only app running on my iPad after a fresh restart.
Now I set the sequence playing. As I play notes on the "on screen" virtual keyboard, I expect it to only change the note I hear every whole note. Instead all my keypresses result in instant transposition and I can play a complex tune by changing the "base note" of my sequence at every step.
My iPad is a standard 3rd Gen, now with iOS 9.01. I have many audio apps installed, including AudioBus and Cubasis, and interface the iPad with a number of controller and audio devices, but none are connected when this bug occurs. I think the first time that this bug occured I was attempting to run Thesys within Cubasis as an IAA app, routing the MIDI back into Cubasis and then out to another synth on my iPad. But none of this is running now, and Thesys stays broken, even after re-installing.
If you PM me an email address I can make a video and send it to you if you like.
Cheers, David

For me it sounds a little bit that you are playing in Pitch key mode and not in Pattern Select mode.
Please note that there are two keyboard mappings available. Select the keyboard mode with the little triangle icon above the keyboard. The standard mapping offers all Patterns and Actions and a +/-12 semitone transposition zone. The extended Pitch range offers transposing by +/-24 semitones.
If it still doesn't work please send me a link to your video to support@sugar-bytes.de to figure out what's going wrong.
Best,
Nadine

I just checked and this happens whether its in pitch key mode or in pattern select mode.
It is the "transposition zone" that I am using, surely it should be quantized in both modes anyway. I'll put together a video later today.
