Hi I would like to be able to record Live Karaoke Shows using T6 software, the mixer I have is a Mackie pro FX12 v2, what is the best way to set up for Live Recording I have 3 Mic's so I would like to record Mic on different Channels and then the backing track on another, I dont want to edit vocals, I have no experience using any recording software so if you could keep things basics that would be appreciated

Many Thanks

You'll need an audio device that at least one input per each simultaneous, completely-separate track you want to record.

It looks like the Mackie only gives you two soundcard inputs on its USB interface, which wouldn't be enough for the 4 tracks you're talking about. It might be a bit complex to achieve what you want. You'd probably have to find a 4-input audio interface, and, if you can route your mixer channels to your main outs OR your monitor outs or AUXes, you might be able to get 4 separate outputs out of your mixer.
But unfortunately its a mixer that mixes, not that much of a front-end console; it doesnt really seem to give you much per-channel access to the signal to be able to route that to individual channels of a soundcard.

from what i see on the mackie page, the mixer has inserts on every channel.
with the correct cabel you can send every channel seperately to a multichannel-interface. from what i know, mackie has instructions for this in the manual.

as said above, you have to get yourself a multichannel interface, with at least four line inputs. there are some models on the market, that should provide you this.

You're right. I promise I went through the 'bullet list' on the spec page a couple of times trying to see if there were any, dont know how I missed it.

Yeah, that would do it.
