I'm not sure why I chose today to do it, but I've decided that the no-pictures consensus / gentleman's agreement regarding the bargains only thread will be enforced. It won't be retroactive, but I'll edit future posts (if they're reported; I don't look in that thread too often so if they're not reported I probably won't see them) and ask posters to go forth and sin no more.
No longer a moderator.

+1000 on this decision.
Those of us who've been here a long time know how it ends otherwise. Best to strangle this in the cradle. Otherwise, in six months we'll be sopping up gallons of bloody pulsating pixels.

You already posted this 14 days ago? All other resellers have this offer too. Takes up entire screen furthermore.carrieres wrote:Flux has announced that they are doing a special promo of $249 (MSRP $699) on their superb Multiband Compressor-limiter.
Alchemist is the most powerful dynamic processor ever designed. It’s able to subtly improve your mix or to totally transmute the audio material. Until now it has been pretty expensive…

Not fair competition. I think both posts should be deleted.
Edit: Below link correct now:carrieres wrote:The latest product from Waves is eMo D5 Dynamics, and for a limited time it is at a special introductory price of $149 (MSRP $299).
The first plugin to use Waves’ groundbreaking Parallel Detection technology, Waves eMo D5 delivers the power of five state-of-the-art dynamics processors—Gate, Leveler, DeEsser, Compressor and Limiter—in one easy-to-use interface.
The eMo D5 Dynamics Promo is available on the DontCrack immediately.

This one should also be deleted. Bargains Only is not a bumping thread. Bumping is below in the individual market threads.

There is another mag freebie now: For a couple of days Beat gives away the cut down version of Vier (Vier LE) with their BeatFirst app:
http://www.beat.de/news/eisenberg-vier- ... 59167.html
The BF ios app is buggy here, but got the vier le link (3 of the same, actually... since the app popup had no text except an OK button, and I had apparently clicked the banner and it 3 times before thinking to check email).
Got it, though.

Ah, I see... reread the posts and get it now.VitaminD wrote:That is because it was compressed initially on a Mac.. we having issues with this.. issue.. are on Windows PCs.antithesist wrote:I'm surprised so many bought this issue... decompresses fine on my old surfin' mac (just thought I'd help test).
As stated, nothing much earth-shattering in there, anyway.

Well I'm not trying to make a profit at the expense of other resellers I'm only doing it as a favor for the rest of the audience - thank you very much for kindly telling me this. Always nice to get so useful comments.jsp1979 wrote:Hans25 wrote:Spitfire Audio PP018 - DC Noisemaker intro offer 25% off £90 incl. VAT - http://www.timespace.com/product/PP018- ... maker.html

And I don't use the entire screen to fill up the post.
I thought it was exclusively timespace so didn't search for it. Apparently not and removed.

Well, as long as no picture got posted, it'll pass for now
But now for some advice: with the code 10bucksSeptember, looks like any of these plugs can be had for $9: inValve FX, Multicabinet, MultiDrive Pedal, STA Preamp
Anybody tried them and can say if they are worth it?

I've had this for a few months. It's quite good actually - the super overdrive is my pick of the bunch, the tube screamers are decent too. I think I paid $10 which is a fair price. I've used it often and it does what it says on the tin.Numanoid wrote:MultiDrive Pedal

That Music Tech magazine zip that won't decompress on PC's can be decompressed with The Unarchiver
http://unarchiver.c3.cx/unarchiver
But the Window's version is command line only. Not so great, but it does work. You can download it here:
