Bye bye older plugins...

After 7 years RMV gets retired, Alpha 3 after more than 8 years, Organ 3 ran for almost 9 years, Octopus made it just below 10 years. relectro also gets retired.
Time to say good bye...
We wont sell these instruments anymore and will only support them for another year. However, if you have a DAW set up, they wont stop working at a specific date, so you can use them as long as you keep a working environment. At some point these instruments probably wont work in a (then) up to date environment, so be careful with any updates you make to your DAW computer.
Final sale: until End of October you have a last chance to buy any of these plugins at a much reduced price of 19.99 for each of them, any additional sound libraries for discontinued products at 9.99, links are below.

I great deal but as I just found out all of the download links that you get sent after purchase do not work. It would seem that the website has been reorganised but the links have not been updated. I am sure this will be sorted soon, but wanted to give you all a heads up!

:)

Not surprised about Octopus as its principle developer is MIA but it still sucks that it was not developed further as it's quite unique.

It looks like Morphox and CRX4 got price drops on the now updated website (to $99 from $129).

The CRX4 banks are no longer for sale, so perhaps they are now included (as it now lists 1800 presets).

He he, I just bought Alpha3 second hand for $30 a couple of weeks back

Thought it was a good deal, I am very smart with money for sure

Organ 3 doesn't get much love because it's not as realistic a B-3 emulation as B4 or VB3, but it's great for making weird organ-ish (or even non-organ-ish) sounds. Hope it keeps working for a long time....

If I didn't already have it, I'd jump on it for twenty bucks.

Is it true that Pavol is getting retired now as he is over 10 years old?
Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

Hmm, mixed feelings about this. Alpha was the first soft synth I actually bought, and I seriously thought it would be around forever. Also FreeAlpha is one of the freeware synths I always recommend to beginners - is that gone too?

On the other hand, I can now finally afford afford Octopus

Based on Google search, looks like the copy protection is serial number? Is there a limit to the number of times a plugin can be authorized? Can you have 2 simultaneous licenses installed (2 computers)?. Couldn't find any info on their web site. Thanks.
Play it by ear

I just recently bought and installed Alpha 3, I got delivered a 19 digit serial number, that I used to install the plug with offline.

The serial is just used to switch the plugin from demo mode to fully working - it's all within the plugin, there's no online checking. It's all very civilized and user friendly and one of the reasons I still regard Alpha 3 as one of my main synths. Sadly, it's also probably one of the reasons why it's now being discontinued as there's no real protection against piracy... :(
