Why?! Do you have a standard ratio for Kilo/GB/MB per Dollar/Cent?! It is not a grocery shop you know!
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

I didn't think I'd be interested in Relectro but I tried the Demo anyway and was amazed at the basic 'sound' of the effects. It makes things sound like those authentic analog sample packs I've purchased from Zero-G and others. It has that quality to my ears at least. When the plugin was released I didn't rate it but now, with a little bit more experience, I'm sold.
+1 relectro makes a great "Crunch machine" dialling back the wet mix and giving it plenty of High-pass filter. Like a rhythmic bit-crusher/exciter kinda thing ...or not. Loads of sonic exploration to be had with this thing.

When it comes to drum lib or other sample libraries the short answer to that is: Yes 8)

IMO it has more than enough content of kits and loops. It can be a perfect match with Relectro to make almost infinite possibilities of electronic beats ;)

I haven't found such a function yet, but luckily the default GUI size is pretty big :tu:

But the CPU hit is huge unfortunately :(

TheoM wrote:Hmmm, linplug website hosed for me at present.. tried safari and firefox with all ad blockers disabled, and i can see the five main products, but without absolutely any way to buy. There also used to be a link to a page with downloads.. can't find anything at the moment, it's all a mess here. There used to be a link to send lost serials, disappeared too.
I'm getting the same, no way to even go on the Octopus page.

I never liked Octopus quite enough to buy it in the past, but at this (hopefully ongoing) price it's more than worth it in my opinion. Another very good FM plugin to add to my collection. I mean, it's no Sytrus, Blue II, FM8, or Nemesis, but what is.
Ha ha suck it!

I can remember having similar problems with Digital River in the past, but it got fixed somehow.

No problem ordering for me now though in Firefox, even using adblocker.

The sale will run until Halloween, so gotta trust DR/Linplug will be able to fix it by then.

They said on Facebook they plan to have a page with the older products up in a few days – they may have jumped the gun a little on the website redesign as some of the pages look a bit messed-up, such as the Sounds page.

That is great, I would like to have a manual for Octopus, and the installer didn't come with one.

Thanks, needed some tips on how to handle CPU hit, and the manual says the following
Optimizing CPU Usage
...the main limiting factor in software synthesizer performance is CPU processing power. Each additional oscillator, filter, effect and modulator that is included in an instrument adds to the CPU load. As a result, it's best to switch off any unused units within the Octopus to conserve CPU resources. It may also be useful to use the send effects of your host’s mixer instead of Octopus's effects as they are shared among all instruments.
I use FL Studio and I also found that using "fixed size buffers" does help.

Ah bless the internet. You can check out any time you like but you can never leave

Can RMV be compared with Geist, or in case what kind of other drum plug is like it?

So if anyone wants more info on the plugins up for sale you should be able to find it here.

Also, if any existing LinPlug users need to download any extra files (manuals, installers etc.) they still seem to be accessible here. I downloaded the Mac versions of my LinPlug synths, just in case...

Wow, so this is what all those Alchemy users felt like :hihi:
Thank you. I was able to hear some demos of a soundset I'm interested in as well. Think I'll have to get it now. :)
