Thank you Linplug for this sale :)
I appreciate your lengthy and very detailed review!

And quote the part I especially agree with.

You have the best of the best... I can't think any FM synths that could cover much more ground than those. I doubt there are any. I have those plus great freebies like Crystal, Dexed. And of course one can always use plenty of other synths to do great FM.

Still, Octopus is a very good synth, and I actually like the gui. There's fun and maybe a couple of things to be learned from it. That's more than worth the price for me.
Ha ha suck it!

I just want to give some thanks to LinPlug for dealing with retiring products in such a great way.

I've used both Alpha 3 and RMV since they were released, still do and they are great in sound and use. Alpha 3 for it's simplicity and RMV for it's depth.

But time moves on, so to give current customers time to deal with them being discontinued and give new customers a cheap, and informed, chance to try them is fantastic.
I miss MindPrint. My TRIO needs a big brother.

is there a way to make rmv respond to note off?
im guessing im missing something, because i can only get the sample to play from start point to end point, or to shorten it with decay. so how can i leave a long decay, but stop sample when the midi note ends?

that aside, its a useful drum sampler, but probs wont be my goto, as it has no multi point enevelopes, and trying to customise pitch with those 2 weird pitch controls is far too difficult and hit n miss for me.
same thing with amp, i like to tailor my amp env, so it doesnt need a comp.

guess i'll just use to browse drums, while track building, and move samples to dim pro / sc, when im happy.

wasnt too impressed with the loops, but there's some useful kicks that'll stop me uninstalling.

not trying to sound negative, just honest. not everyone needs msegs on their drums like me, so it's a great deal for most people i guess

I may try and grab Organ 3 before its gone. I was hoping to get it when NI's Vintage Organs went on sale cheap in the marketplace a few years ago. $20 is pretty sweet.

Deleted the LinPlug Newsletter with the Purchase Links.
Emptied the recycle bin.
Undeleted the contents of the recycle bin.
Recovered the LinPlug Newsletter with the Purchase Links.
Purchased Organ 3.

I'm a hopeless case. :hihi:

How much time did you had to wait to receive your serial numbers?

No waiting.

I'm waiting about 5 hours and... nothing. Even the pay pal does not sent me the debit confirmation. But the process was completed on digital river, and I received a "reference number" for the transaction.

There seems to be some curse on FM synths. Sytrus, Rhino, Octopus, all of them seem like absolutely great synths that were more or less abandoned (Rhino is being maintained, but that's pretty much it). FM8 also is in "maintenance state" for several years now. The only one that received a significant upgrade recently is Blue.

Hey Alvfaria,
I have been waiting 5 hours for Octopus,
RMV came straight through.
The Digital River invoices are what you should receive.
After those I got the Share-It notification with the serial and links.
I wonder what I want in here
-my site is gone and music a mess

I received nothing. Digital river site says "Payment has not arrived yet", and my paypal account doesn't show any trace of this purchase. So, I think there was an error. But I'm afraid to buy again and end up with 2 bills.
