Alpha Octopus Organ 3 relectro RMV Drum Addiction

Bought Alpha 3 and satisfied with the quality.
CPU usage is low enough and the GUI size is suit for my display.
It sounds like early digital VA synth and very unique.

There's a ton of other smaller companies out there, keeping products up for well over a decade, some of who haven't even updated it for 5 or more years. There's absolutely no reason to discontinue something.
+1
I don't think it's hard to maintain those plugins since they already support both Windows and MacOSX, both 32bit and 64bit.
Lowering the price is enough IMHO.

$20 for RMV, $50 for Geist special edition a while back during a silly sale (includes the BFD Remix library which retails for $29), $13 for Drumaxx, Attack LE for free (A giveaway).
You missed out on Spark Dubstep for $0.99 then? :D

I demoed RMV last night and there's a lot to like. I only have Guru and DK+ as dedicated drum plugins (both stuck at 32bit) so this could be a neat replacement. Shame no sequencer for quick programming though pretty easy in Reaper as all the note names are reported back fine.

You think? Certainly not as 'analog accurate' as Diva etc but I think it's pretty smooth/warm for it's CPU hit.

I demo'd it and Octopus last night and, although there's a lot to like about Octopus, I had a lot more fun going through the presets in Alpha; just seemed more musical, less showy.

I then 'monitor' both tracks for signal input, then I could midi learn the parameters to my midi controller :)
You need to enable the 'ECS' button above the mod-wheel (on Relectro) to do midi-learn. Unless I've misunderstood you.
Yes I tried this but because it is an effect, it needs a way to direct the midi controller as an input (at least this is what I experienced in Studio One.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

+1 As things are going, it is not enough to just have freeware anymore, devs should pay those who uses their gear :hihi:

Note of caution, RMV crashing constantly in Mac 10.9.5 Logic/Cubase/Live. Sent a note to support

Edit. Dumb user error, I set up a midi loop inside the plugin doh!!!!!

Alpha 2 has been on my computer since it came out originally, It's travelled onto 4 systems. I may have to pick up number 3, but when I demoed it a while back, I actually liked version 2 better. The filters on 3 didn't have the edgy crunch that 2 seemed to have..splitting hairs here, it's really hard to notice. But I'll keep both around at the new price of version 3 :tu:

Yeah I also liked Alpha 2 and used it more than 3. 3 came out and I was like, huh this is step forward? O.o

I haven't ever heard anybody else mentioning it but I love the Preset Browser System in Alpha 3. :tu:

Edited: I'm a moron. I found my friendly Linplug email with a valid link to the Spectral v1.3 update. All done.

Carry on... :phones:

If you click Spectral, you'll be taken to the Spectral page. Not sure if you can see them but the downloads are located bottom right.

EDIT: I see you got it anyway :)

That wasn't working for me. Somehow it wouldn't scroll and the word downloads would not link. Likewise, the update link on the Spectral page here gives me a 404. I found where they had sent a link via email a while back and it worked just fine. I just have too many plugs and can't keep up with the updates. Good problem to have I suppose. :tu:

Just found out about this now. Sad they stop these products.

But very happy about the sale prices. Grabbed the demos...

Go back to Spectral v1.27.

v1.30 has problems regarding the screen updates when drawing waveforms.
