Didn't know they ever made a Pod-like thing, but I knew people who were in love with their combos. The Pod-thing is nice and cheap now too.
Lots of options out there...
Do you use it to gig or jam with other people? If so, what's the rest of your rig?
I spent a few days bypassing the J Station and just playing IK's new Mesa Triple Recto which does sound really good. However when I went back to playing through the J Station I finally realized what's missing from all the in the box amp sims I've used and the best word I can find is "fluidity". The analogy I make is it's like the difference between running with ten pound weights on your ankles and running without weights. With computer based sims I really have to work to get the notes out but with the J Station they just flow with ease. So now I'm using the AT3 Mesa setup to "work out" and when I switch back to the J Station it's like taking those ten pound weights off........
