It seems i cant create new points in zebra 2 MSEGS anymore by double clicking.

Double clicking was always ever a "zoom to fit" function for MSEGs. New points happen by cmd-click (Mac) or alt-click (PC).themachinelt wrote:It seems i cant create new points in zebra 2 MSEGS anymore by double clicking.

Perhaps the other way around would be more useful. Then you wouldn't need to have two hands to create an MSEG... one hand could be on your MIDI keyboard, the other would add points...

Because we use click-drag to do 3 different things already. Adding points to an envelope is commonly needed less often than, say, dragging them around or adjusting curvature. One usually sets up a number of points (done once) and then adjusts things (done a lot). Doing latter must be more accessible than doing former.az82 wrote:Why not single click, as in Ableton 9.2 automation?
This might be different for host automation, not sure. Some hosts let one choose a tool that enables a certain type of operation for single mouse clicks. I think this may be an option too.

Thanks for the insight Urs. I've thought some more about this after reading your response and one big difference with Ableton is that they have a continuous running line and the mouse pointer projection is onto that line, while in Zebra's MSEG editor there is no such reference.
Anyhow, I am prefectly fine with the way the MSEG editor works currently. Double clicking may add some hand shaking so adding/removing points that way may not be that precise. I may be wrong.
